Really? Cuz aren't they supposed to tell me there will be charges before they deliver and not weeks later? That way I can refuse the package if I don't want to pay the extra tax. Not that I would, but I'm just saying.

I got charged nearly 150 uk pounds! which scared me to death! and if you dont pay it they keep sending you letters, and in the end the balifs stomp down your door and steal all your goods from your home! the longer you dont pay, the higher the price goes up, so pay it as soon as you can.

No charges have to be declared at the time of delivery, or prior to it, it's an assumed liability you incur by using the courier company's services. Some such as UPS or Fedex will collect at time of delivery so you have the option there to know up front, but others may bill you as late as 1-2 months later. Ultimately though, as the recipient you are liable for any and all charges, whether it be a customs fee, tax, or a brokerage fee that includes service charges for clearing the package through customs. At the end of the day you either use a public company such as the postal service to deliver who will charge applicable goverment taxes, or you use a prive delivery company such as a courier who will charge you for any additional services they provide on top of any applicable taxes. In either case you can't avoid paying

Where is the best place to order one of these without having to pay the overblown price of $300US? Is it even possible to find a nice person willing to help someone get this without trying to get rich off of the sale? I highly doubt it, but it's worth asking.

$300 for that stuff is really cheap.Thats the retail price and hard to get new sets.So if you like that set then it's worth it.But if it's used then I consider it a little bit high!

I agree, $300 is a good price for the set. I'm surprised the price hasn't jumped more since AVP has come out. I'll bet this set will be going for big bucks right before Christmas.

Considering I was selling mine for over $500 months ago, the price can only go up I would guess, I sold all mine very easy and could easily have got more ( wish I had now ), but they are nice.

The only places I've seen it is on ebay. Prices are what Romero mentioned above, I think I even saw a few go for around $600, but I've seen a few for $375 "but it now" prices on ebay.

You can find some on ebay (search items in Japan), but the shipping is going to be at least $120 (EMS) to the USA.

guess I will have to do with the 4 I have.
