Although I thoroughly understand with the free upgrade to 4k on iTunes. Why redeem anywhere else if it is MA as the upgrades carry from iTunes to MA in many cases.
Fortunately there is the spreadsheet out there for checking which titles will and won't redeem 4k and which are upgrades.

Re: Movie Theater deals
The Lionsgate movies do not allow a 2nd redemption. Once you redeem it on Vudu, you're stuck with Vudu only.

Re: Movie Theater deals
I don't think that will ever be able to end.
For example the code from DC's Vixen redeems and passes through MA but will not transfer to iTunes because iTunes considers it a TV title. So if you redeem at VUDU, MA, etc you get it on all providers but iTunes. If you redeem it at iTunes it will be stuck at iTunes only.

Re: Movie Theater deals
John Wick 3 was sent out today for those who participated in the Lionsgate program.
I was thinking about getting the 4K disc, but now that I have it for free (and I redeemed it on Apple TV with extras), this should hold me over until it gets cheaper.

YMMV, If you're in Regal Crown Club, check your app/emails for a free ticket to Rambo: Last Blood
Subj: ...witness the final battle with a FREE ticket!
I got one, but my wife didn't. I'm Diamond level, not sure if that matters.
You don't need the email, it's in the App. Just tap your card (so the barcode is showing) and any rewards will show below it.
"Free ticket can be applied to any 2D showtime 9/19-9/25. Present your Crown Club card to redeem." (or use in the app)

Re: Movie Theater deals
Regal just sent me the digital codes from the STX promotion from last Fall. It's redeemable through Vudu. Hustlers, Countdown and 21 Bridges.
Only Hustlers and Countdown are available right now, so I got codes for them. It said 21 Bridges will be sent later when it's on home video.
Hustlers redeemed as a 4K UHD. Countdown was just HDX.
Too bad 2 of the 3 movies sucked.

Re: Movie Theater deals
I feel like I should know the answer to this by now, but what’s everyone’s strategy on where to redeem when given a choice?
I used to redeem mostly at Vudu back when Ultraviolet sharing was working. Now, I’m leaning towards defaulting to itunes. I feel safer about Apple surviving and maintaining my digital library than Vudu. Plus there are typically more extras at iTunes, right?
i guess if it’s a MA title it doesn’t matter where I redeem, right?

And yeah, I was thinking a lot of the times iTunes has more extras than other vendors too.
I've also started leaning more to iTunes redemption if there is one because of the news of them possibly selling Vudu. I don't buy a lot of TV (unless it's a price glitch on Amazon) but I almost always buy on iTunes now when I do get TV.
