Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?
On the DMR Facebook page the DMR rep announced that the birthday blu ray program ended June 30, 2010. From now on everyone gets a 100 point code on their birthday. WOW what a great fucking deal. Of course on June 1, 2010 when Alice In Wonderland was released it stated on the code sheet that a birthday blu ray was a perk of the program. 29 days later they end it. Bastards.
Bah. It was nice while it lasted. At least I got one BR out of the deal.

In 1996, the Walt Disney corporation took over daily operations of the California Angels baseball team and promptly relieved my wife and most of her co-workers of their jobs, as well as all my free baseball tickets and other perks. I think I may hate them more now.

And the wife's job too, I guess.

It was sort of funny. It was like the series finale of The Mary Tyler Moore show - they got rid of all her friends except one. He was a dapper young marketing guy named Tony; every one liked him. Now he's the GM!

I saw they had another donation offer promotion running. 100 points donates a Disney DVD to a kid friendly program of some kind, and Disney matches the donation so you're really donating two DVD's for 100 points. There was a limit of 10 such donations (for a maximum of 20 donated DVD's) and since we'd racked up 1400 some odd points, I maxed us out. Yes, it wiped out 2/3 of our accumulated points, but we really only keep up with them for these kinds of donations in the first place. Besides...

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?
Back when I bought the Toy Story Blu-rays I entered the code for the first one, but for some reason did not enter the second one. Today we were going to pair these tickets up with the $1 AMC concession coupons, so I entered my TS2 code. I tried to retrieve the ticket and found that it is listing TS twice (which I cannot redeem it twice) and not listing TS2 for the ticket (it did give me the points). I seem to recall others having this issue ... but I don't recall how it worked out. Thoughts?
Also, the online digital copy is wanting to charge me $5.99 to activate TS and TS2 ... wasn't this supposed to be free as it has been with all other releases?

not sure about the digital copy situation. would like to know about that too.
I can help you with the TS and TS2 free ticket situation though. I did the exact same thing as you, entered one code but waited to enter the other code. I also received the same ticket code listed twice after entering the code. After two emails, I eventually had to call them before I got it fixed. The rep was very helpful and I got the new code immediately.

Nope, TS1 and 2 were an extra fee for the digital locker copies, as opposed to, say, PatF or Up. I think they're testing to see how much upsell conversion they get vs. giving them away free.
