D8E1 still going strong. Just placed 2 more orders, picking up 6 Steely Dan remasters for under $18 shipped.

I selected the 5-disc Stan Getz boxed set, and there was no shipping charge added. Was your set four or more discs, and was it designated a boxed set by the B in a circle?

Yes, it's a re-usable code. It also has no description in the red bar below the search box, as other codes have. One wonders if this code was ready for release.

D8E1 = 3 Free or 8 for the price of 1

Maybe some of you all already noticed this, but I just discovered that the deal is actually 3 free OR 8 for the price of 1, which I remember them running before. Since you can re-use the code, and also since the code seems to count 2- and 3-CD sets as one item I don't really see why you'd go for the 8 for 1, but just FYI.

Looks like BMG's just trying to clear inventory at this point.

Flup, what is your default deal? The previous free codes have combined with the standard deal so if your deal is B1G4 free, the 3 free code would make it 8 for 1.

My default is currently Buy 1, Unlimited $.99, so that's not what's going on. In fact, once I go over 8 using D8E1, every additional CD is full price.

My bad. The first box I added was clearance (which I wasn't aware of), & the second was less the 5 discs. It does work if there are 5 discs minimum.

Re D8E1 I've placed a total of 5 orders (15 sets) on 2 accounts. So far, I've received 2 of the shipped emails they send when actually they mail the discs (oddly both on 1 account). The other 9 now show as "shipped" (I've learned that means the system has temporarily okayed the order but they haven't shipped).

The line that shows the offer is blank after I put this in, but when I go to the main page the prices show as free and I put 3 in my cart before it started charging me. As before, you still have to pay shipping.

One of my favorites still available from BMG is the American Graffiti Soundtrack. It is a 2 Disc set and a great gift. With the D8E1 code you get it for around $5 total and you can order 3 of them at once for the same deal which I did. These are great for people of all ages. Get them while they last! Also another good one is Dean Martin Essentials........it comes in a 1 or 2 Disc version. I stuck with the single disc version with his picture on the cover. Again this is a geat gift for all age groups. I'm 39 years old but I give these to my older and younger friends and relatives and they love the music.

That usually means you're on the blacklist, meaning you can't buy any more CDs or join again.

Anyone have any idea of how long the D8E1 code will last?

There is no way to know, because we have no context around the sale. Some discount codes have a title that suggests an association with a holiday. This one has no title at all.

I got two packages today containing five of the six discs I ordered. The sixth was temporarily out of stock, but shipped yesterday.

Placed my orders on 12-12 thru 12-16, yesterday and today I've got 25 of the 27 free CDs I ordered. The other 2 were temporarily out of stock. I think that's the fastest I've ever got my orders.

Not saying I doubt you, but if this were the case then why would BMG be adding new titles such as Ne-Yo's, Year Of The Gentleman and the soundtrack to the Maryl Streep/Pierce Brosnan version of Mamma Mia!? Or are you simply refering to certain select titles? Which if that's the case then why would the freebie code work on about 85-95% of everything? (Just trying to get to the bottom of your logic. :-) )

eru - If your problem persists, would you please post how you handled your account (multiple orders of the same title, repeated use of free codes, many open accounts, etc.)

It may be too late to help you, but you could help us avoid such a fate.
