Woot is pretty cool. Every once in a while (every day or every 12 hours) they offer a product for sale (usually at a good price)
You have to constantly check the website, because the "deal of the day" is always different. There was a time that they sold goodie bags for $1. One person received a 61" HDTV for their bag.

From: Work. Or commuting. Certainly not at home.
Very cool site.
Normally, they have one product a day, almost always an electronics item, usually very cheap, always legit.
Occasionally (usually once every 3 months or so, but this is the second one in a couple of months) they do what they call a "Woot off". Basically, it's a 48 hour period in which they offer one item until it sells out, then move on to the next. Some stuff can sell out pretty quickly (within 10 minutes), other stuff can take a few hours. On a "normal day", with no woot off, most stuff doesn't sell out.
They also have a wine store, at wine.woot.com, which is similar (although there hasn't been a wine woot off yet).

The bar is a "fuel gauge", showing how many of the current items are still left for sale. The next item will be put up only AFTER the current one sells out (or after 12 hours of being stuck on the same item). The "I want one!" button will start bouncing when stock on the current item gets below 10% (or maybe it's 5%, I can't recall.)

Bag of Crap
In lieu of typical product sales, Woot occasionally offers the “Bag O’ Crap” (or “BOC”), a blind grab bag that includes dollar store items and can also randomly include more expensive electronics items. The BOC is marketed as one bag and shipping worth $5.00, and up to three "craps" costing $1.00 each. Orders are recommended purchased in quantities of three craps to minimize the percentage cost of shipping and maximize the probability of getting something of greater value. The "BOC" typically sells out within minutes of furious ordering.
Officially, the Bag of Crap is sold under the title of "Random Crap." Woot has also used the "Random Crap" moniker in more targeted sales, such as a random selection of desktop and wall calendars or NASCAR race scanners. Thus, a "true" Bag of Crap is only denoted by the presence of "Random Crap" in the product title without any other descriptive notation.
However, earlier on the Bag of Crap was sold under the title "Bag O' Crap" followed by a roman numeral indicating how many times the bag of crap had been sold. For example, the 5th time they sold it, it was sold as "Bag O' Crap V". This was most likely changed to "Random Crap" because people expected to get 3 bags of crap as opposed to 1 bag with 3 craps.
Since "BOCs" are often referenced in the Woot forums, Woot's forum software filters the text to spell out tongue-in-cheek phrases with the same initials, such as "Blinged-out cabbage", "Braille on Cookies", "Bandolier of Carrots", and others. A similar phenomenon occurs when a user types "refurb," which filters to "refurb (rox0rz!)," a nod to the controversial popularity of refurbished woots. In the past, the term "refurb" was changed to "Hurray! A refurb!" by the filter.

Income today was over 1.3 million and yesterday was over 800k. Those guys have a gold mine going on over there (assuming they make some profit on most of their items)
