in non-wootoff times, woot is a deal-a-day site. best to check it early in the AM though because the good stuff goes fast

Yeah, I would've been on the Samsung XM thingy if it had still been available at 6am. $20 for a 512MB MP3 player is a good price to begin with, then throw in XM with free activation and a free month of service - gravy. I would've ordered 2 or 3 and given some away as stocking stuffers at that price.

I got in on the 4th BOC yesterday.

When I got the BOC in October, I got a pretty nice camera bag, a solar phone/ipod/etc. charger, a couple of USB memory key locks, and a Monster Truck VHS tape.

should have been more clear - i could have gotten in on 2 bags of 3 (i clicked "buy me" again) but was unable to purchase more than one set of 3. they concidered all BoC's the same item

does that mean once you order one BoC, you're forever locked out from buying another since they are all the same item?

Yeah, they really need to upgrading their servers. It gets real annoying on hot items.

Yeah, I saw it. At the time, I was in Jamaica with my wife for our annual Little Feat weekend. I had my PDA with me and was strenuously trying to punch out an email to folks back in the US about pricing for next year's Feat Retreat when I linked over to woot, saw the wootoff, and saw that the Leak Frogs were "up". Unfortunately for me, I couldn't order them because there was a foul up between woot's server and the version of PocketIE on my PDA that prevented me from successfully logging in. No log in = no account access = no payment/shipping info = no sale.

And yes, I caught flak from my better half for wasting half an hour of my vacation clicking around the web rather than focusing on her, the beach, and the martini in my left hand.

Maybe next wootoff I'll score my next trio of Leak Frogs.

Leak Frogs.
Little green sensors (that look like frogs) you put on your floors. If they detect moisture an alarm goes off to warn you of a leak. A picture of one is a few posts up.

no, it doesn't. this time they did things a bit different. usually they sell all their BoC's in one lump, say 6000 of them at once. trust me, that goes in all of 30 seconds.

this time, they split up the orders to "ease" the load. so they had BoC.1, BoC.2, BoC.3, BoC.4 and i think even BoC.5, all of which had between 1500 and 2000 BoC's in them. They were sold inbetween items (Item, BoC, item, BoC,...)

because, in this woot-off, they were all concidered the same "Item", you were only able to purchase the "item" once.

this is why i was unable to complete more than one order for it (i had already bought it) and why it appeared so many more times.

hopefully that clears everything up!
