Yeah these kinda blow, so does the steelbook. I guess the Blu-ray has the better art (colorful, hopeful, friendly Superman), but pretty much a whiff on all of them.

This is an overall lame release. I guess I’ll just catch it on HBO Max until I find the Blu-ray for cheap down the line.

It's pretty solid but loses points for being limited and impossible to order.

I may watch it on streaming and wait for a better edition down the road. We never got to it in the theaters.

Because the extras are split? Sure it's not ideal. And as I said, some don't use or watch digital movies. But, in the grand scheme of things, will anyone actually care long term? In this forum, most don't seem to care about commentary tracks, let alone extras.

And how many blockbusters even get a digital director's commentary? Let alone an hour-long Making -Of doc? I'm happy we are getting a fair amount of extras with this.

Do we have a thread for the Reeve films on Blu-ray/4K? I tried searching but couldn’t find one that’s open. Loved the Gunn film, but also noticed Amazon has this in stock. Pretty cool, but expensive.

I just watched the documentary on the making of the movie. It’s really well made and covers the key points in the production. Definitely worth watching.

Doesn't seem all that different (if at all) than the streaming version on Prime, lossless audio notwithstanding.

And FYI, I checked the digital last night when I watched the documentary. Gunn's commentary track and the deleted scenes are not available yet.

Yeah, it's better than the usual 20 minute making of clips that are mostly just ass kissing.

Sure, there's some back patting here but they also show how scenes were shot, how character was developed, why they made certain choices, etc.

Someone posted a pic on Reddit of a shelf full of Superman steelbooks at Fred Meyer if anyone has one near them and is trying to track one down. Sticker price was $37.99.

It’d been a while since I bought a movie in-store, but with so many retailers OOS — including Amazon and Target — I just walked into Walmart and bought a copy. Even then, all the copies on the rack were sold out, and they had to open a box for me. I’m glad to see Supes selling so well!

I would think it is more likely they just hadn't bothered to put them out on the shelf yet.
