This is one of the few Blu-rays I plan on buying this year. I’m excited. It was such a fun movie.

The supplemental material looks like a bunch of ego stroking featurettes for Tom Cruise but, screw it, I’ll watch anyway.

I preordered the Steelbook from Walmart a couple months back to get free shipping on something I wanted. Hopefully they update the release date to Nov 1 soon.

I wonder what is so special about the Target Steelbook when it is sold out but available at other stores?

Same here though kind of sad when there were not a lot of good Summer 2022 movies that were worth purchasing.


I am just getting Jurassic Park Dominion since I have the other movies.

I've been waiting for this. To be honest, I couldn't believe how well this movie did but, granted, I've never seen TOP GUN.
Sooooo, I purchased Top Gun on Ebay and have been waiting for Maverick to get released (figuring it'd be two months after theatre's). Guess that double feature will wait until November but I'm interested to see what all the hype was about. :p

The paper cover art is probably printed double sided so you can flip it over if you prefer the other art.

So it looks like a metal magnetic plaque that you can put over the front cover for a different look. That's unusual.

I wasn’t planning on getting the Maverick digital, but I had a $5 credit from Fandango to use and I splurged. But I later discovered that Vudu gave me one of those special offers for Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick together for $14.99. I completely missed it. I could have gotten both movies UHD for $9.99 after the credit. :grumble: Damn. Oh well. This will hold me over until November. I still plan to get the 4K disc.
