It's awesome and is included with PRIME, so no need to pay an overinflated priced for the set that has it.

yeah, but the set has a lot more than that. plus, new glorious transfer, whatever to audio, so so many extras. this is the only set to have, really. just another to add to what i am thinking is an ever expanding company and growing collection with a company that rivals Criterion in everything except film itself. i know Criterion has much better film content, but Arrow puts out the popular, the cult and do it in grand style. i love my Arrows and watch more than my Criterions ttt. i mean i love my Criterions, don't get me wrong, but Arrow brings more of the fun imo...

Anyone know why there wasn’t a nice tribute extra on the Weird Science release for Bill Paxton, which I believe was the latest of his movies to be released as a packed SE? This one by Arrow seemed ripe for an extra like that. Hopefully, if True Lies ever gets released there would be something on it (since him and James Cameron had such a long career and he had parts, even bit, in many of his movies dating back to The Terminator), but just struck me as a missed opportunity to honor such a fun, always around character actor. I know other movies paid tribute with just a “In Loving Memory...” at end, but a nice extra on something would be so cool.

Anyone get the new Pitch Black blu from Arrow? wondering if it really is worth the upgrade since i have the te and dc on the previous release. i know this has more extras and the animated Dark Fury or whatever, so just thinking...

I guess someone will know once it's released next week. I preordered it, but knowing Amazon, it'll get here sometime that week.

It's back down in price again from Amazon UK. It's 3.08 pounds for first item and .99 pence per item thereafter. That's the regular rate and not the Amazon Global Priority rate. I'm just waiting for them to go live on preorder from Amazon UK to order.

Haven’t seen either of these, but I’ll rent both UHDs first and buy if I like them. I definitely want to support Arrow on their transition to UHD. I did buy Pitch Black and am looking forward to it arriving soon.

So Crash only has the NC-17 cut, not both? Did the German release have both, even if one was only on Blu-ray?

It’s a Best Buy sale that Amazon is mimicking.

Well, Pitch Black is a great upgrade. I just finished it, and the PQ is really good, although it’s been so long since I’ve seen it that I forgot the way the colors are blown the way they are. But for the few normal palette scenes, those looked great. No Atmos, but the 5.1 DTS-HD is pretty damn robust. I’ll check out the extras this weekend, cause there’s a lot of them.

8 or 9 times out of 10, if you see a good price for a movie on Amazon, they’re matching Target, Best Buy, or Walmart. Amazon doesn’t care about earning your sale; they just want to make sure they don’t lose it to someone else.

And it is for this exact reason that I always try to buy it from the place that put it on sale first. I am not anti-Amazon but they rarely do sales as good as other stores...and it has been that way for years.

Though I do recommend following stuff on www.camelcamelcamel.com since so many random price drops happen and last for about two seconds. You can get some good deals if you can catch them from time to time.

I remember being excited for Versus when it first came out. The hype around it played it up as the ultimate Japanese cult movie of all time. Then I watched it and was bitterly disappointed at how lame it is. The whole thing feels like a group of high-schoolers doing cosplay in the woods.
