I know my bad. Ironically I posted in your thread a month ago. Mods please merge.

I know you usually post these as soon as the preorder is announced.

Re: STAR WARS: The Rise Of Skywalker

I'm officially tuned out with special features, just give me a 4K disc that's somewhat well done. 4K disc art is the best, so I'm fine with that.

If there's digital exclusive content then buy the disc and redeem the code. Problem solved.

With practically all BD-Live content being gone now, I wouldn't trust any "digital" extras to be viewable for all time.

For the most part I agree, but if we could get things like the old Star Wars special features (like From Star Wars to Jedi) then I would absolutely want it. Or the documentary on The Phantom Menace, that was a pretty good one. Or Empire of Dreams that was in the first DVD set.

Ok, yeah, Star Wars does some pretty good features when it tries.
I don't think any of the modern releases have really gone into that kind of detail.

If they re-released Rogue One with a 2 hour docu covering all the changes made during production, I'd double-dip in a heartbeat.

No Deleted Scenes? I agree with many here as I just want the Bare Bones Movie at this point as Disney isn't even trying with the extra material.

Never gonna happen. With that or Solo either. The studio would prefer that everyone believe that production of these movies went smoothly and was totally harmonious for everyone.

Re: STAR WARS: The Rise Of Skywalker

The press release does say that the movie does have a "feature-length" documentary. I assume that has to be at least 1 hour. It's not like this is some cobbled together collection of EPK's.

I don't know if it's quite that. Studios don't want to dwell on what didn't work or drag other filmmakers, actors, etc. under a bus. It took decades before anyone involved in Back to the Future would even talk about Eric Stoltz let alone show any footage. For the longest time the best anyone could get were a still image or two.

While the hardcore fans would love to see it, it's best that everyone involved just move on.

nothing to do with BD-Live. Does that even exist anymore? Extras on Vudu and amazon and iTunes or whatever should be there if you own for good. I’ve never seen one go away. But, I have seen truncated versions of a longer extra on physical which I’m not sure what that’s about...

All the exclusive content on Target Ticket disappeared. I had a couple exclusive featurettes on there.

Per both the Academy and AFI, a "feature" film need only be 40 minutes or longer.

"The Battle for Brazil" documentary on the Brazil Blu-ray disproves that idea.
