I believe Target already has it in stock on their website.

It's like $15 cheaper on Amazon.

I see the price on this is $55 at Amazon. Might wait it out a while longer though as the Batman: The Animated Series set is down to $42.

Re: Batman Beyond -- The Complete Series

I returned my Target copy. I'm totally fine waiting until it hits $40 or under since I don't need the extras for this one.

Amazon lowered the limited edition set to $60, so if you want the bonus stuff it's almost comparable to the non-limited one in terms of price.

I saw the standard BD (without the extras) at one of my local Target B&Ms last week but when I went back yesterday they were gone

I got an e-mail that seasons 2 and 3 are now in HD on DC Universe. So the entire series is now available in HD if you still subscribe to DC Universe and don't want or need to spend the money on the box set.

Re: Batman Beyond -- The Complete Series

This was on sale today (Monday) for $49.99 for the limited edition set.

I decided to go for it at that price. That was the price I paid for Batman the animated series.

The regular edition set is only $8 cheaper, so I might as well get this one.

You can always sell the included Funko Pop and make most of the price back.

Bought it too and I'm supposed to receive it today. Couple of questions though.

Is the Return of the Joker version included only the PG version? From the reviews I've read it seems that not only they didn't include the director's cut, but also they included a full screen version of the movie, not the widescreen one, like it was filmed.
Has WB released the uncut version of the movie on Blu-ray?

I thought this was the uncut version, but was released almost 10 years ago on BD:

That's the same disc included in the Batman Beyond set and is not uncut. Is PG-13 and full screen. Just look at the reviews that confirm this.

I'd have to dig up my copy. Even this recent article/review of the set confirms that the uncut BD was from 2011:

https://thedigitalbits.com/item/batm...e-series-le-bd

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker was released on DVD in an edited version in 2000, and later in its uncut form in 2002. The uncut version was later released on Blu-ray in 2011.

Re: Batman Beyond -- The Complete Series

It is the same disc as the 2011 Blu-ray but Red Hood's information is incorrect. The movie has always been uncut on Blu-ray and you get it with the complete set.

Re: Batman Beyond -- The Complete Series

Now I wonder about the digital copy being uncut widescreen or PG-13 full screen. And as it is MA it is possible to be different from different providers.

I checked the disc in my set and it's the 77 minute uncut (PG-13) version and is 1.33:1. The digital copy, when redeemed through Vudu, gave me the same cut of the film, but in a cropped widescreen version. No additional information on the sides, just clearly cropped on the top and bottom to make it widescreen. It looks very sloppy and cramped. I'd rather watch the 1.33:1 version.

Saw the digital copy on Movies Anywhere and is the uncut 1:33:1 version.

Has the movie ever been released in the intended widescreen version?

Good catch. I usually watch my redeemed digital copies on Vudu, but I checked Movies Anywhere and it is 1.33:1 there, while Vudu has it cropped to widescreen (1.77:1, I think.). Both are the 77 min. uncut version.
