I'm hoping for a sale on Avengers 1/2 and Cap 1/2/3 4K at the time Endgame releases.

I've gotten all the 4K versions and will continue to do so. I will confess to putting the 4K Homecoming disc into the BD pop art steel b/c I was not going to pay $100 for Homecoming 4k SB on eBay.

^ You've gotta pre-order those Best Buy Steelbooks if you want to be guaranteed to get one. They pull them and make them unavailable long before release date sometimes

Now why anyone would feel the need to pre-order a digital copy today on iTunes or VUDU is totally beyond me.

Are those digital copies and DMR points redeemable in the US?

There is no DMR in the UK, so there are no codes included.
I'm not seeing where it states it includes a digital copy, but even if it does, there is no Movies Anywhere outside of USA. I haven't noticed any Marvel movies in the UK release include any digital copy code lately.


Also, I saw the 3D in the theater and I thought it was great. Not a lot of pop, but plenty of depth. And very clear and sharp. I might just wait until Captain Marvel/Endgame drop or are part of 2fer.

You can use a VPN to redeem it but it may not show up in your digital locker if you are accessing it from a US IP address.

I guess I'll stick with the BB steelbook then. I would rather have the 3D version, but it's not worth it without the digital copy and DMR code.

Yeah, I moved on from 3D after Dr Strange. They've all been 4K releases since then.

Same here. I went ahead and put in a preorder for the Best Buy 4K release. Based on the email I got, it's not yet ready for pickup. I guess it's still doing well in theaters.

It was, but I don't think you saw the whole suit...just the upper-half/head. I wonder if that steelbook cover is going to change...seems like pre-theatrical release temp artwork.

I don't think I've seen artwork stay the same on preorders, especially when they put out listings on movies that just came out in theaters.

I am ready for them to announce a Phase III boxset (hopefully in an Infinity Gauntlet). I have not bought any of the flicks from Phase III and have been waiting patiently.

I never even knew there was a Phase 2 box set. Checking online, it did look cool. Do you have the two previous ones?

Remember Phase 3 goes through Far From Home.

Yeah, I have both and they are extremely cool. I hope that the new release would focus on including the 4K versions as I doubt they will include the 3D versions like they did on the prior two Phase sets.

If that's the actual art for the steelbook, I'll probably pass on it and go with the Target version. That art is pretty ugly.

Edited to add: the poster art they have up as a placeholder for the regular release would make for an awesome steelbook (minus the date of course):
