That's one of the things I like most about it - it's similar to the first one but has the "dusting" effect for Endgame. Would make for nice "bookend" artwork on the first and last movies for this era of the Avengers.

Bob Iger has said this will be released on September 3rd.
Digital version is coming out on August 20th and it will be released on Disney+ on December 11th.

Zero pop-outs, very little depth and faded colors. It added nothing and I think probably took away from the quality of the picture for this particular film. But I plan to see it again soon in 2D to do a better comparison.
But the 3D in Endgame was worthless in my opinion. And I have seen every Marvel movie in 3D that was shown there if there was a 3D viewing. The Ant-Man movies, GOTG movies and several others blew out Endgame 3D-wise, sad to say.
Granted, home 3D is always better than theater 3D, so maybe it will play better at home.

I saw it on an imax too. Thought it was one of the best 3Ds I have seen.
Maybe it’s your theater.

I felt this and Infinity War in IMAX 3D were some of the best 3D I've ever seen. I often wonder if issues like this are local as in the theater of type 3D that IMAX utilizes. For example my wife and I saw Titanic in 2 different IMAX theaters in 3D. 1 theater was Amazing and the other was SoSo.

The disc's special features are reportedly as follows:
- Deleted Scenes (4:36)
- Gag Reel (1:51)
- Avengers: Damage Control - An Immersive VR Adventure (5:23)
- In Memory of Stan Lee (6:53)
- Introduction by the Russos (2:29)
- The Russo Brothers - The Journey to Endgame (4:44)
- The Women of the MCU (4:35)
- Setting the Tone: Casting Robert Downey Jr (5:07)
- Bro Thor (3:28)
- Dropped Out of His Time: Captain America (11:44)
- Black Widow: Whatever it Takes (7:03)
Seems very light on extras for the biggest movie of 2019 so far.

Isn't there a new version coming into theaters with added scenes? Does that mean a second release down the line (I have no idea what the added scenes are)?

So is that included in this release, or do we not know?

There is no new or extended cut. This is the final version.

Nothing new. This has been Disney’s template for extras ever since got their hands on the first Avengers movie. What I really hate is how they continue to ignore the source material for their featurettes. The MCU team ARE capable of providing comic book history in their extras (All you have to do is pop in Homecoming and see that Vulture has his own featurette) It just appears that Disney has zero interest in catering the fans this way. The only hope for more extras might be as a bonus disc for the proposed Infinity Saga boxset.

i'll be happy with my UK 3D nonetheless. of course, would have loved more extras. only watch them for Marvel movies for some reason, but i'm satisfied with an incredible movie and if 3D better than theater then that's a bonus...

That's just Disney not putting anything into these other than short promotional fluff. Also, it's been mentioned before, but most studios have stopped sanctioning long and extensive making of documentaries due to home video budget cuts. You have to pay for all the on camera interviews that isn't from a studio promotional EPK.

I don’t mean in the form of docs and whatnot, I just have a feeling they will do everything they can to market the hell out of the MCU, and in particular this movie. It is a culmination of everything they’ve done up until now. I can see them putting a tad extra bit of effort into this one.

It’s funny how different people have different takes on the 3D effects, whether in theater or at home. I think home is always better 3D and many in theaters haven’t wowed me, except Avatar. And at home newest Ghostbusters was best Ive seen, but others, especially some animated, Moana, some Pixar (not all imo), others were great. But Gb blew me away especially with pop out effects. A lot of pop out. But Endgame in theater blew and hoping for better at home. Might have seen Captain Marvel in 3D. Don’t actually remember, but I think I wasn’t wowed. At home, hopefully different story. New How to Train Dragon supposed to be good too. For Marvel, Guardians 1, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man stand out for me. Black Panther was colorful and good depth, but again not wowed...

I have every 3D Marvel movie that was released here in the states and the only one I was impressed with was Dr. Strange. That's why I actually don't mind the 4K releases for the Marvel movies.
