Amazing set. I've cut back on physical purchases but i will definitely get this. I don't think my wife will argue it too much.

Looks like digital copies will now be included.

The addition of a digital copy is a sweet bonus. I'm sure the digital copy will get removed when the set invariably is issued in a cheaper configuration.

My suspicion as well. This is exactly what WB did with Batman 66 complete series.

We may also only get the two movies as digital copies - Movies Anywhere has no television content whatsoever. This series would be the first MA digital copy from a television production.

Wow. I would not have guessed that. I wonder why no TV is on there yet.

Has WB moved to only MA like Fox?

Wouldn't shock me if the two movies were removed from the standard set as well. But no biggie IMO since they are both available separately and appear to be the same discs (w/ Sub Zero still having the SD episodes as bonus features).

I’d consider one of the shirt bundles but they’re just charging the regular price for tacking the shirt on. Only benefit is that you get free shipping since it’s over $100 but still meh.

Amazon added a new listing for the deluxe edition with the digital copy. Time to cancel and re-order

Amazon Amazon

The old listing seems to be for the standard version

Looks like digital copies are bullshit. There will be NO digital copies included.

One listing has been removed and compressed, as well.

Re: Batman: The Animated Series - coming to Blu-ray in 2018

If there is no digital copy included in the deluxe version I might as well wait for the inevitable cheaper set but then again I do purchase some POPS (just picked up a few Ant-Man and the Wasp chase Pops) and it seems to be much more limited than the other complete Batman live action series set (30,000 vs 100,000 Batman live action tv series sets).

I just feel that I was a bit burned by the other Batman set and at best I can say I broke even by paying $60-80 for the digital episodes after I subtract the amount I made selling it on eBay.

30,000 really is not a kajillion copies so I might have to pull the trigger before it goes OOP (and again, if there are not 30,000 other editions that pop up on the market after this is released, I actually feel this set will indeed go OOP just like the DVD set which I barely missed getting back during deepdiscount's famous sales that had everyone buying a million dvds and the kitchen sink during those sales).

Re: Batman: The Animated Series - coming to Blu-ray in 2018

I like having the 1966 Batman set, but honestly I really just watch the episodes so for TAS I'll probably wait for the basic BD set or digital HD. I do like having the supplemental features so those might play a factor in my eventual purchase.

Preorder is up at Deep Discount. Currently $87.53 using promo code SHARK.

It's a little cheaper through Import CDs ($83.39), but I've never ordered through them.

Think I’ll just keep my Amazon pre-order for now and hope for a price drop.

Amazon will definitely price-drop it - even lower than deep discount.

Could be due to potential digital piracy (regarding no digital copies). Anytime digital copies are released, they are soon flooded on the dark web. Maybe WB wants to protect this release as they are also distributing it (via HD streaming) on DC Universe.

Re: Batman: The Animated Series - coming to Blu-ray in 2018

Movies Anywhere has not dealt at all with television content from any studio. Warner has shifted all their digital copies to MA with the exception of the CW television shows - those still have UV copies. Personally, I don't think MA will ever include television content. The studios are putting out fewer and fewer television releases these days.

The problem is that UV is dying and will be all but dead once Paramount and Lionsgate join MA.

Every WB New Release Movie I've submitted recently have been UV and MA.

I didn't want to imply that Warner had abandoned UV, as they were the main studio behind it to begin with. But Fox, Disney and Universal have all stopped giving UV rights. Once Warner joined MA, UV is an afterthought for them.

I put in my preorder, as a lifelong Batman fan I've seen some episodes, but not the whole series.

I think that there's some hope for Digital copies on this set.

It looks like, at least from the artwork on amazon, that WB release The Big Bang Theory Season 11 is Blu-Ray + Digital. I didn't really start redeeming digital copies until earlier this year and for TBBT I redeemed the seasons I owned that had them (1, 5-10) at Vudu. I probably should have tried UV first as that links with Vudu. Hoping that Season 11 still includes them. Rick and Morty Season 3, also a WB release from May, had Digital Copies.
