Its sold out everywhere, and Wal-Mart only has a dvd complete series listing out on February 9th.

FWIW, you can sign up on wbshop.com for an email alert when it comes back in stock there. I did that, got an email last week and by the time I looked, it was out of stock again. I have the DVDs, so I'll just wait it out until the initial demand dies down.

My local Wal-Mart has three copies of the Limited on the shelf. I should buy all three and ebay them suckers.

Re: Batman: The Animated Series - coming to Blu-ray in 2018

Received the Blu-Ray set for Christmas, watching this show again cleaned up took a bit to get use to. I have the DVD sets and did not mind the video quality of the show on DVD, always thought it added to the "Old Style" of the show.

After watching the show for 2 weeks, I will never go back to DVD.

But, this is one of the shows that it does not matter the VQ...it is the writing/actring and art that makes a difference.

Based on how into this set I was before the holidays, my partner got me Batman Beyond (currently only on DVD) and it was weird to go from such a fine looking printing of a show taking place in the past to the DVD print of the show taking place in the future. Still, Beyond was fantastic as well!

I love Batman Beyond too. Here's hoping that the success of B:TAS on blu will prompt Warner Bros to consider upgrading Batman Beyond. I know I'd buy it.

Superman: The Animated Series is up next for consideration. I wouldn't hold my breath on Batman Beyond as physical media wanes.

It's been waning for years, and we still get stuff we never expected to hit physical media still coming out. I'm hoping for Superman at this point. Batman Beyond, well they can stop before that one.

Batman Beyond: That Batman/Nightwing/Batgirl thing... ugh, I wish Timm would keep his fetishes out of it.

Is this set okay to buy now for $70?
There's a lot of people butthurt over this set on the amazon review page - how legit are their complaints?

What are the complaints? The way amazon ships it out?

Smashed packaging, I guess - I just skimmed it, seemed like a lot of consternation.

Yeah, that's on Amazon's shipping methods. Maybe someone knows for sure but I doubt that's changed much (i dunno, I bought it from Best Buy for this exact reason).

I'm hoping to buy it soon, that's why I want the standard edition of the set. Less chance of getting a damaged set.

I had to email customer service to make sure that they shipped this set in a box instead of the shitty envelope. The third time was the charm

Is it just me or does the picture for the first episode start out sort of fuzzy but then gets nice and clear about 6-8 mins. in?

Re: Batman: The Animated Series - coming to Blu-ray in 2018

I had been dragging my feet on redeeming the digital code that came with the deluxe set, but I finally did that today, also getting Mask of the Phantasm and Mr Freeze Subzero on VUDU with the series. The code says it has to be redeemed by 12/31/19 but we know that WB rarely enforces those.
