Exactly, which is why I'm not betting on another release for this anytime soon. Hell, it even took them two years after Death Proof / Planet Terror to release Grindhouse.

Can't believe BB wants $25 for that Steelbook. Think I'll just buy a digital copy and skip the physical release. I would have gone as high as $20 maybe but $25 for a bare bones BD is kind of insane.

We never even got the Japan cut of KB on a domestic release, never mind TWBA.

Seen both versions so I am just going to give it some time for info about a roadshow release. If nothing is announced, I will just pick up this release 6 months down the road.

Wasn't surprised that the Roadshow Cut wasn't included.

I think that Richard Dawkins will be preaching Christianity, the OOT will get remastered, and I will get Might Max before THAT happens.

Initially they said the only way to see the roadhouse version was in 70mm. Now that they released the roadhouse version in a regular DCP that gives me hope it will later get released on Blu-ray.

For those interested in the BD Steelbook, Best Buy has their pre-orders for in-store pickup. The option wasn't available in my area earlier today but is now.

Put in an order for 2 copies. Here's hoping they have both when I show up tomorrow!

While I don't know details but I would imagine he would have to give approval since he was pushing 70mm so much. But it was discussed over in Movie Talk. It was shown in at least three theaters local to me.

Yeah, the store by me only had two copies left by the time I got there during my lunch break.

I'm tired of these $24.99 steelbook prices. WTF happened to the $19.99 release week prices? Hell, even the Target exclusive was $22.99. At this rate, I'm going to have to give up picking these up on release week.

The funny thing is, I don't care if a movie is released down the line in steelbook form and I already have the regular release. I've never double dipped on those. But it I tend to buy it sooner if it's a limited store exclusive that is released when the regular edition comes out.

I'm happy I saw this, I placed an in-store pickup order for it and just got a confirmation that it's ready.

Now I just hope the one they pulled isn't all dented or scratched up.

Got the target exclusive edition today. Glad I did, the two extras on the bluray I don't even think total 15 minutes so the extra bonus is nice. One another nice feature I am glad is included is a chapter selection by the music. Will watch it all tonight.

The Steelbooks I ordered for in-store pickup were ready for me when I came in at 10am.

Can't wait to watch this again.

i'm so glad i don't feel the need to own every SteelBook™ anymore. it's like a weight has been lifted. not that i begrudge anyone else but i am over them so i could care less. well, that's not entirely true, I am human afterall...

I hear you. I try not to get sucked into every one. But this one is so damn pretty (especially the red metallic border) and matches the Roadshow program perfectly. I couldn't resist it, despite the overprice.

Picked mine up at Best Buy, but I didn't really have to order ahead because they had about 8-10 steelbooks on the shelf.
