Who was Hush in the comic books?

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Got around to watching Hush last night. I didn’t mind it for being a very stripped down version of the story, but it definitely wasn’t the best of these animated movies. It really felt more like a Batman and Catwoman love story with some of the elements of the Hush storyline thrown in.

Spoiler:
I had read the reveal that Nygma/Riddler was Hush prior to watching. Kind of a weird twist if you ask me. Also not sure why they kept referring to him as a C list villain. I’d say he’s a top tier Batman villain personally. If he indeed is dead too that was an unexpected surprise. Although being a comic story I won’t be surprised if that gets retconned.

I was talking about this with a several friends tonight.

Spoiler:
I don't understand why they tried to peg him as a C-lister unless it was to make the twist shocking. He's a top 4 Batman villain along with Joker, Penguin, and Catwoman

I didn’t pick up either of the individual releases so I’ll probably grab this. I’ve heard the first part is quite a bit better than the second part.

Hmm, well the two parts on their own is 1hr20m and 1hr27m counting credits too of course. So seems at least a little bit is cut out. Is there any mention of "new" scenes?
Unless there is something new, I'll stick with the individual films and pass on this edit.

Spoiler:
I would put Riddler and Two Face on about the same level in terms of where they fall in Batman’s Rogues Gallery. They’re both easily in the top ten best Batman villains.

When I think of a B-lister I think more like Firefly, Solomon Grundy, Black Mask, Killer Croc, Man-Bat, etc. I like most of those villains too, but they fall below characters like Joker, Two-Face, Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin, Bane, etc.

I’m looking forward to WW: Bloodlines even though I don’t think it will live up how much I loved first.

I didn't realize that WW stands for Wonder Woman and thought for a second they were making an adaptation of that horrid series of annuals they put out back in the 90s where they introduced all these new heroes that besides Hitman were never heard from again.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Looks like there is a change for how the DC Animated movies will be shown on DC Universe. Before it was the same day release as the BD release. Now they've changed it and it will be available 90 days afterwards now.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Really holding back the animated movies being available on DC Universe for a while seems like a smart move if they’re going to continue putting them out on Blu-ray and DVD.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Liking Bloodlines so far, but it’s as if previous never existed. Rewrote beginnings with the island and Steve Trevor. I was hoping a true continuation, but oh well. Also liked Russell and Fillion. Rosario Dawson and Jeff Donovan not as good, chemistry wise. Hope this stands on own and is just as magnificent as first, but doubt bc I hold that in such high regards. I did love the opening title after she’s asked what her code name is...

Bloodlines was pretty fucking great. There’s good mid-credits sequence so stick around...

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Agree that WONDER WOMAN: BLOODLINES is a terrific addition to the DC animated movies. Definitely takes a lot from the first Greg Rucka run of WW. Really made good use of Diana’s rogues gallery.
