Our long national nightmare is over! Hasbro and DC have resolved their lawsuit over DC's Bumblebee character. She can now be used again in media and merchandise.

Spoiler:
Favorite moment in it by far and I'm not even a huge '78 fan. Surprisingly it made me smile for a good few minutes afterwards.
Movie as a whole was just ok. Thinking of getting off of the steelbook train and if I do that I probably won't pick many/any of these up going forward. In for Reign of the Supermen as that's one of the few comic book arcs I read in real time (even if it wasn't all that great) and Hush because I'm still a sucker for all things Batman but we'll see after those.

Wait, when did this happen? She's in the new Superhero Girls cartoon (and she was in the old one as well), was she marketed under a different name?

Hasbro sued DC over trademark purposes for their Bumblebee Transformer character. There was a chance that DC would lose the character's name if they had lost the suit.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films
This is news to me. I remember Bumblebee first appeared in the mid 70's in the original TT run; way before Hasbro's Bumblebee.

Exactly. Although, non fans always confused the word "Shazam" as Captain Marvel's name. So, there's that plus adding Captain Marvel from Marvel probably added to the confusion. But this seems so far off that one is a robot and the other is a girl.

That sale makes it far more tempting. But I'm still convinced that we'll see a Dark Knight Returns like deluxe release of the two movies a short time after both are released separately. I still remember how much I kicked myself for buying both of those separate Batman releases only to buy the deluxe steelbook when it was released.

Since it's not titled part one and two, I don't think there will be one. Just like the follow up to Son of Batman and the Teen Titan movies didn't have deluxe editions with both movies included.

I'm actually tempted by the Lego Aquaman "movie" that is also on sale... but mainly for the JC lego.

This Ray Blu-ray was released this week. It ties in to the Arrowverse. Ignore the bad reviews on Amazon. They were done by Comicsgate assholes. If you don't know what Comicsgate is, well they are akin to the tiki torchers from Charlottesville and they hate diversity and "liberal" politics in comics.

It's written by writers from the Supergirl show and loosely tied into the Arrowverse's continuity. There's a great opening fight between Overgirl and the Freedom Fighters on Earth-X, but the movie is mostly the Ray's origin story.
Some of it works, some of it doesn't. It's probably more entertaining than the prior animated spin-off from the Arrowverse, the Vixen movie that was also assembled from webisodes.

There’s the Constantine thing on Tuesday, but it’s not part of this same series, exactly.

My guess, and I would agree with you only as far as that, is that this animated film will be pretty good.
I don't give two natman flying fucks what their politics are.

“One of the things about SJWs is that they get a job because of surface qualities, being a woman, being black, being gay, being trans, and there’s no adjustment on the ground to negative fan reaction due to low sales,” he told The Daily Beast. The milkshake crew particularly raised his ire: “They obviously seemed to not be qualified. They can’t spot basic typos, they can’t notice major plot holes, they antagonize the fans... I talk to all these people, actual, legitimate talents, who can’t get a job to save their lives. Meanwhile some airhead who calls the fans Nazis and turns out laughably bad work is getting Eisner awards.”
But, yeah, I would prefer to see this particular part of the discussion continued on the Politics forum or Comics subforum rather than here.

Not sure how many people are into slipcovers here, but several animated DC movies have arrived at Walmart with completely redesigned slipcovers. It's seemingly part of a line promoting all kinds of DC releases, from Justice League to the animated stuff.
