I only saw it once in the theater and the group I went with got us there late. We were stuck in the second row of the theater basically looking up at the film the whole time.

Watched it again tonight, this time with the correct viewing distance. Fell in love with it all over again!

Does the Disney Anywhere app also allow streaming if I own the animated Disney Blus?

I don't normally preorder movies, but I'm glad I did with this one since the store was sold out by the time I picked up my copy after work. Love the design too

Yes it does, but if you link the Disney movies and app with Vudu as I did, the movies dissappear from your Disney Movies app. At least that's what happened with mine. But I like having all my movies in one spot, it's just easier that way for me even though the streaming isn't quite as good as the Disney app.

My wife made an xmas photo appointment for my two youngest at 9:10. Made it to BB at 10:15, everyone had one in their hands. Got the last one. Watched it twice already.

Not for me. All my Disney movies are in both apps. You might have to re-link the accounts or something.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy --> 12/9/14

My local Future Shop had plenty of steelbooks in stock at lunch time.

Nice as this one is, I kind of would rather have my Marvel films in consistent packaging.

So will they get more steelbooks in stock this week or that's it? Checked 2 BB yesterday and both out.

My guess is since they sold out of the pre-orders and the small allocation of copies they had for the in-store release date, you'll never see these steel books in store again. This release was under estimated as far as desirability.

If they have it again, it won't be for another year or two, when they might be promoting the sequel.

Got to BestBuy about an hour later than I wanted.

I think I picked up the last 2 StealBooks, giving one away for XMas.

Glad I preordered my BB Steelbook. Picked it up yesterday but won't have time to see until the weekend. Nice set at a nice price.

Speaking of the steelbooks selling out, I doubt that half the people who bought/pre-ordered them even have 3D TVs.

Nope. Don't care.

Bought mine as a Christmas gift for the kiddos. Gotta wait a few weeks to open that bad boy.

Yep. We can boycott all we want. Won't stop these from being sold at prices like that.

That's like blaming people who buy a Bd/dvd combo and never using the worthless dvd.

You can't blame people, cool package, better price and you got more. Same goes with Tagets 3d price. Both beat out WM reg blu and blu with slip, both were 22.

I bought Steel from bb and 3d from Target, but I have 2 3d tvs so I should be safe in your book.

Maybe people going hog wild with the steel and targets 3d price, it will help with the release of more 3d and at better prices.

I don't. I'm wanting to buy it more for the package and regular BR, plus, it's the only way to get the Digital Copy. I consider the 3D part a freebie extra, that may come in handy if I ever do get a 3D TV. I've bought most Marvel movies this way recently, and all were a better deal than getting the stand alone BR for the same price (or a couple of dollars less).

Not really blaming, just a light joke my part since I didn't happen to get one. Hell, I did the same thing in the past, getting the full 3D/BD/DVD packages for movies before I had a 3D TV, so I get it. Like Rocketdog said, either it's more stuff for a better deal, or the same price, all of which can be saved for the future. Which reminds me that I miss the $10 off coupons Disney used to do for their BDs.

If there was any actual people to blame, it would probably be scalpers, but they'll always be there.

You are must likely right, but it all depends on whether or not stock was already shipped out, and was en route to stores. That product wouldn't show up on their website, or in store searchs, as technically, it is "in transit" and neither a store, or the website can show it as being "on hand" unless they have actuall copies available for sale.

I'll give my local store another shot on Friday, just in case, but am still not really counting on it. At this point, though, I've got nothing to lose and possibly something to gain.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy --> 12/9/14

Watched the Nova plaza scene Tuesday night, and then watched from the end of the prison break thru to the movie's end. So I while I haven't seen the entire movie exactly, I've seen most of the scenes that should be problematic for 3D. Based on how well it looked on tough scenes, and just how great it looked in general, this has to be the best 3D disc I've seen yet. Avatar was good, but GotG was 99.9% crosstalk free on my system. Nothing has come this close to being perfect till now.

Also wasn't expecting to like the shifting AR but it actually worked great here. I only noticed the change maybe two or three times- otherwise I couldn't tell you for sure which scenes weren't 1.85- and that full 16:9 was used to great advantage.

Hell of a disc.

In case anyone is interested, the Target exclusive feature "An In-Depth Look at Creating the Galaxy!" is 6 minutes long (so much for 'in-depth').
Does anyone know if the iTunes version has any exclusive extras? I think Winter Soldier did.

It is probably much less than that. For the price this was, you can just toss the worthless 3d disc, and still have a very nice set will a cool looking case.
