I hope the first picture is the real actual artwork for the standard Blu-ray release.

Based on the previous Marvel Blus, extras will likely be pretty sparse, probably a commentary a few featurettes.

I'm pretty sure Target will have a exclusive bonus extra like they did on Godzilla.

Something tells me the features will be sparse like Winter Soldier.

It seems like Disney is only a few steps away from not including the movie itself on the blu-ray, just forced trailers for other films.

Disney has been all about sparse features since they took over.

Starting to think there are features, but they are all being held for a big box set of the recent round of Marvel films. Could be a big promotion leading up the Ultron movie.

James Gunn said in a recent tweet the disc would be packed. Not that he's in charge or anything, but promising nonetheless.

Does BestBuy have any pre-order price guarantee? Or would it be locked into the paying $27.99 if the prices lowers at all?

Q: Can you ensure the price listed at the time the pre-order is placed will remain the same?
A: Yes and no. When a price is assigned to a pre-ordered item, we are reasonably certain it will remain at that price. However, from time to time — given how far in advance we make items available to our customers — a price change will occur. If this happens, you will always receive the lower of the two prices. For example, if you order an item for $49.99 and the pre-order price is later dropped to $39.99, you will be charged only $39.99. If you ordered the item at $49.99 and the price rises to $59.99, you still pay only $49.99. When you place a pre-order, you are assured our lowest pre-release price.

The US version might be a little different with the title on the spine and on the front where it says"Stereo". The UK and German Steels look like the above.

There's a very special place in hell for people who make a film digitally while Kodak are on their last legs and then make a portion of the plot revolve around a cassette tape .

In all seriousness, that's a really cool design.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy --> 12/9/14

I dunno if this has been covered anywhere yet, but the 3D Blu-ray will have a shifting aspect ratio, per James Gunn on twitter.

“@mumbles3k: @JamesGunn Will there be changing aspect ratios on the Blu?” Yes the 3D Blu has shifting aspect ratios like in IMAX.

as the owner of a constant height/variable width set up, that news is very disappointing to me.
