You are probably right but a lot will depend on how long it takes for foreign markets to release the title. I think once it sells out, you'll be able to sell it for a good amount.

if I read the news section on screen archive entertainment's webpage correctly, The Blob should be shipping soon. I also ordered the soundtrack, so fingers crossed that we start receiving emails confirming a ship date.

Edited to add: I did not receive an email, however, logging into my SAE account I noticed that it shipped on the 14th and is out for delivery today...yay!

Picture quality of good, a little muddier at night/dark scenes but miles ahead of the DVD. The blob really glistens and I didn't realize the main actor had so many freckles. Watched the blu tonight and think it was totally worth it. A commentary and question/answer with the director. Not bad for Twilight Time. Most everything else seems to only have isolated soundtracks (also on The Blob). There's a small insert booklet.

Really pleased with the release. Best transfer I've seen, although not as amazing as other movies in the genre from around the same time that have come out on Blu. Good commentary (is this the first for Twilight Time? a new commentary and not just a carry over from a previous DVD release?)

They've done a bunch at this point. Of the titles I own, I know Jane Eyre, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia and The Train all have new commentaries.

Actually, the problem would be with Screen Archives, which is just the store that sells TT releases.

Their sole distributor, so Twilight Time is definitely responsible. No one is holding a gun to Twilight Time's head, forcing them to use a badly dated website for order fulfillment.

I agree that Twilight Time is ultimately responsible for their choice of distributor, but Screen Archives have handled hundreds if not thousands of these limited edition items over the years. I would have to assume that generally speaking they know what they're doing. I feel bad for both Twilight Time and for the people who had their orders cancelled. It really does suck for everyone. Still it's kind of funny in a perverse sort of way that here's this title that everyone has been anticipating for over a year and it's the one that gets screwed up. Not good for Twilight Time's p.r., that's for sure.

Screen Archives is not their sole distributor. I have a copy still on order with TCM and there's no doubt in my mind that I will never receive it.

Did anybody who ordered immediately on the first day you can pre-order not get one? You snooze you lose. As much as this title was talked about and anticipated I would think those who wanted it would jump on it.

I think it was only people who ordered in the last week or so that are having their orders cancelled. It shouldn't really matter though. It was listed as being available and it wasn't. That's not cool.

Twilight Time only distributes through SAE. Any copies sold by TCM are purchased through SAE (probably at retail as they mark them up $5.00).

from bluray forum members that receive this email,I should have been more clearer.I received my copies last week.
Not sure how many orders got canceled,100 or so?

If TT does A autographed copy of The Blob within the next few months.I would say that is what caused the screw up.


I order another copy from TCM,because I had the 30% off mistake coupon.I doubt it will ever ship too.But it never hurts to try.
I just feel bad for anyone who just ordered from TCM.
