So DVDActive says that it is coming out next month and that there will only be 5000 copies. I looked on Amazon.com and nada.
It's supposed to be released by Twilight Time and I'm hitting nothing but brick walls.
Here's the Bluray.com page:

Help!

You can only buy their releases from their website:

I just re-watched this last month and it is better than I remember. I saw it in the theater when I was a kid. It is a pretty good 80's horror film.

I appreciate the feedback. But, *where* on their site? I've been looking all over and I don't see a page for the Blu ray preorder.

I don't believe you can pre-order any of their titles. They put them up at a certain time and it's first come, first serve.Originally Posted by PatD

There is going to be a limit of 3 per customer out of the 5000. I am going to buy one for me, one to pay off my car loan and another to pay off my mortgage.
I will post my ebay auction links in here.

If you badly want this BD, prepare to order it within 24 hours of that time and date. It will sell out and then become very expensive on the secondary market, unless the film transfer is terrible.Originally Posted by EdTheRipper

This is one frenzy I don't care to miss, I've never liked this version of The Blob.

Thanks for the weblink. After missing out on Fright Night and Christine, there's no way I'm missing this one.

I was lucky to get The Train from Amazon by a seller. I had to fork over $60 to purchase it. Didn't want to spent that much but I love the movie and didn't want to take a chance it well be sold out quickly. I really hate Twilight Time.

There've been many circular discussions about Twilight Time's business practices, but if you're looking for something they still have in stock, you can get it from their website. If it's something OOP, you're SOL and have to get it from third-party seller on eBay or the Amazon Marketplace or something for whatever exorbitant aftermarket prove is being charged.

Don't be so quick to buy. Case in point, "Night of the Living Dead" remake. I had the original DVD and bought the TT BD edition...it didn't work that time.
It was so dark, I sold it on eBay for a good profit! Google it and see why.
Wait for the reviews, you'll have plenty of time to buy it.

That's the thing. You may not have plenty of time to buy it. This is easily the one of the top 2 or 3 most anticipated Twilight Time titles ever. They haven't had a title sell out before the release date since Body Double, but this is a prime candidate to do so. Though it will be interesting to see if the increase in quantity (5000 vs. 3000) outpaces the demand.Originally Posted by sparks

My advice is that if you're interested in the title at all, you should jump on it right away. If you don't like it, odds are you can flip it and at the very least get your money back (as sparks himself pointed out).

They raised the limit just for this release.

Nothing has sold out before release date since they started limiting number of copies per customer. That a title may sell out quickly is telegraphed quite clearly when a 3 copies per customer limit is put on a title. This your first clue to preorder. Later there will be low quantity warnings. Second clue to order.
No reason anybody who really wants a title shouldn't be able to get one. Titles are announced couple months in advance so you have plenty of time to prepare for a $30 BD expense.

There should be links to the releases at the top of the home page where it say "News". Or you could just go to the Twilight Time page where they have all the titles listed by release date.
