I figure that if they can take the time to create a whole new pressing of Halloween 1 just to put in the mono track (especially after a new release of the film came out last year), then it is not outside the realm of possibility that they would spruce up the rest of the releases.

I'd say we should all wait until they release an OFFICIAL listing of all the features both technical and special…otherwise we'll tear each other APAAART!

I had such a crush on her back then. I miss the 90's.

So the 35th anniversary version didn't have the mono?

It did but it was not a lossless track. Since no one knows if the box set is getting brand new transfers for the films, people have hope there will be a new DTS mono soundtrack. I highly doubt there will be new transfers but we'll see.

I'm amazed mankind made it out of the 90s . Though after the 80s, maybe they're weren't so bad .

I thought it had been confirmed that the mono track on the 35th was a downmix? Hence the reason it's a big deal that it's being rectified in the new box.

I don't have the 35th anniversary edition, but it does look like it was a downgrade of the 5.1 mix. The original Blu Ray, which I own, has the true mono track but it's not lossless.

Damn downmixes. Do studios think we're stupid? How hard is it to include mono? Though if you only want the first movie and have buy the whole set to get it, that would suck.

That's exactly the boat I'm in. I don't really get into much horror, but I love the first Halloween. I have yet to purchase it on blu-ray due to the constant compromises made with each re-release. I actually sort of enjoy most of the sequels (never seen 6 or Resurrection though), but I have zero interest in the Zombie entries. I just don't think the box would be a worthwhile purchase for me as much as I want a decent blu of the original. Maybe if it gets really cheap at some point.

$120 sounds too high. Probably will be half that around Black Friday.

***HALLOWEEN: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION ART REVEAL!**
Happy Friday the 13th! In celebration of this infamous date (and with all due respect to that other masked fellow associated with today), Anchor Bay Entertainment and us at Scream Factory proudly unveil the official art for the September 23rd release of the HALLOWEEN Complete Collection Blu-ray! Creative attached is from the 15-disc Deluxe Edition - that includes a rigid slipcase to house all the films, a bonus disc packed with extras and a collectible 40-page book – and the 10-Disc edition (films only but will still have selected extras).
Stay tuned in the next month for more details, including updates on the bonus features and photos taken from behind the scenes!

I have no interest in getting this- but gotta say I like the packaging they came up with. Simple, appropriate, classy. The distressing on the smaller set might be a tad overdone, but that's the only quibble I would have.

Especially like the spine design on the limited set.

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

Anyone want to take a guess at the contents based on looking at the discs?

I think:

Disc 1: Halloween theatrical cut
Disc 2: Halloween TV Cut with bonus material
Disc 3: Halloween II
Disc 4: Halloween II TV cut with bonus material
Disc 5: Halloween III
Disc 6: Halloween IV
Disc 7: Halloween V
Disc 8: Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Disc 9: Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (The Producers Cut)
Disc 10: Halloween H20
Disc 11: Halloween Resurrection
Disc 12: Halloween (Zombie's version)
Disc 13: The Making of Halloween (3 hour documentary on Zombie's version)
Disc 14: Halloween II (Zombie Version)
Disc 15: Bonus Disc

I was under the impression that the Zombie theatricals were going to be exclusive to the 15 disc set but that can't be true unless they use different discs.

Yes, it will go into your closet next to the Breaking Bad barrel...unwatched.

All kidding aside, I would love to just spend a few days re-watching every Halloween film from this collection including the bonus material.

no, the UNRATED versions are exclusive to the 15-disc.

I have the FRENCH Halloween II Blu-ray which has both versions of it along with the extras, so they could to that to both H1 & HII

But it looks like it's not gonna include the documentary for Halloween 2 wish ROB would edit it and could be included.

You're right. Either way, unless they're using different discs, it looks like they're not exclusive.
