Re: X-Men First Class Blu Cover

The X-teens were awful. One's magic power is to make laser hula-hoops, ferchrissakes. The climax of the movie wastes far too much time on that cheesy Tinkerbell chase scene. The movie fails to make any of them interesting. They're an annoying distraction from the actual heart of the story that anyone cares about, the Xavier/Magneto relationship.

At least her character in Mad Men is supposed to be a void.

When this movie was released, a friend of mine quipped: "The greatest trick Matthew Weiner ever pulled was convincing the world January Jones is an actress."

I basically said the same thing Josh did, just less eloquently and less intelligently.

Um, Havok has been a major character in the X-Men universe for decades. He's Cyclops' brother. I liked him in the film, and I liked how they showed him learning to control his powers.

I think he was the only X kid I liked throughout.

Is Havoc not Cyclops's brother in the movies?

They haven't given us a relationship officially, but he is a Summers. If they are still brothers, one would think that he'd have to be signficantly older than Scott with the new timeline.

On May 6, Fox is re-releasing all the X-men movies as BD/DVD/UV combo packs with movie cash for Days of Future Past. I believe all of them, aside from The Wolverine, are $7.99 on Fox Connect using the 50% off code.

There weren't releases with the UV previously? I'm assuming that once DOFP comes out, there'll be the various box sets as well.

Until they release sets with Apocalypse, then the whole cycle will start over again.

X-Men: First Class?? The best reviewed X-Men movie of all time? Perhaps you're thinking of X-Men: Origins or X-Men: Last Stand.

And as we all know, critics are completely in touch with the normal movie going public.

The movie going public who gave it an average rating of 4/5, with 87% of the people saying they liked it, on Rotten Tomatoes? The same movie going public who gave it a 7.8 on IMDb? Yeah, seems to me like everyone just hates this film.

You're using the same people that gave Prometheus a 73% as an example to bolster your claim?

Dude, seriously. You don't like this movie. We get that. Others do, and you can't do anything about it. Just let it go.

I don't know if I like the movie or not. I haven't seen it yet. I was just saying what pretty much everyone I know has said about it.

Re: X-Men First Class Blu Cover

Well, welcome to DVDTalk, where you get to post 43 in a thread, and no one has answered the question/request in the original post. But the OP has been accused of being a bootlegger, and chastised on numerous occasions for not liking a shitty movie. As well as being told to "let it go" before his question/request was answered.

Nice post answering his question as well. His first post called it a piece of crap without even seeing it. What were you expecting?

Re: X-Men First Class Blu Cover

So, no one knows where to get a cover for this. Fine. In post 43, I explained why I called the movie crap. I was saying what pretty much everyone I've heard talk about the movie has said. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm not expecting much. But I'm hopeful.

Re: X-Men First Class Blu Cover

I liked First Class the best. I thought the story was better conceived and more a part of the film than the others. Perfect? Nope, but I think above average for the genre.

Why not watch it before trying to find a cover? There's no way a movie you haven't even seen can be worth this much of your time.

DVDProfiler already has one that matches the link in your first post.
