I think Elysium Best Buy Exclusive was the same last Dec 2013 but on the day of the release it was available online and I hope that is true for Thor.

There will be TONS in store I'm sure. I wouldn't worry too much.

Let's see if I actually get one. One other steelbook I ordered a while back got cancelled.

It's now available online again, but for store pickup only. No shipping option this time.

Shipping option was available earlier this morning....opted for store pick up, though.

Anyone who wants the steelbook, I would suggest getting there early. My store had 5 at opening...2 in front by the new releases and 3 on the small Thor display by the other movies. Of course they may be restocked, but who knows.

Nope. Looks like it's around 5 to 10 per store.

I picked mine up already. When I got to the store, the standee had 2 rows empty and the new release had 2 empty rows, but no steelbooks in anybody them. The girl who was working the register did say she had several people come in to get these already, so it looks like those will sell out quick.

Now granted, I'm sure this will sell more copies than the standard release. 3D + steelbook for an extra $3 is a no brainer.

Good luck with that! Their inventory doesn't update quick enough to transfer to online. And they just grab what they have off the shelf for in-store pick up *if* they have it on the shelf. To give you an example, at my local BestBuy, there was a guy, front of the line at opening, who rushed the Thor standie and grabbed ALL 10 copies of the steelbook within seconds of them opening. Good luck getting in-store pick up there.

Just got back from Best Buy and was fortunate to grab the last steelbook. All slots were empty but after looking around I found one out of place and laying on top of a recent release dvd/blu-ray display.

Disappointed that there is an empty extra hub on the inside. Must have been originally planned for a DVD.

i got it at $22.99 with free ship.

But when you ordered it, it was still $27.99 correct? So did they automatically adjust the price before it shipped?

Best Buy didn't have it so went with Targets version.

All the steelbooks had been cleared out from the display at the front of my Best Buy, but I was able to do a ship-to-store thing beforehand to secure mine.

can't understand why a big release like this would be so hard to get @ BB. do they at least have a regular 3D version?

Just got 2d blu in mail form bb and it didn't have a slip case. Anyone else? I got the halloween blu last year from bb when it was 9.99 and it didn't have a slip case. Just wondering if a slip case was supposed to be included.
