How many 3D Blu-Rays do you have?

I just counted and I currently have 71- more than I expected! I got a 3D TV a few months ago and have been buying all the 3D titles I can afford- many of the ones I have are IMAX films that Fry's has had on sale for $9.99. I typically pick up any title I can find for under $20, being a poor student right now I can't afford to buy too many at premium prices. I also don't knowingly buy post-converted 3D movies unless they're ones I really want- for example I won't be buying the upcoming Titanic release as I don't care too much for that movie anyways. I did buy a few before I had a 3D setup- I picked up Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs because that was the first 3D title sold individually in stores without the purchase of any hardware, and I bought the 3D editions of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2, Cars 2, and Tron Legacy because I wanted those films anyways and it only made sense to get the 3D versions for when I was able to watch them.

Granted I'm a long-time 3D fan, and I want the 3D Blu-Ray format to thrive so I'm supporting it all I can. Can't wait til Dial M For Murder and House of Wax come out later!

I don't have very many of them at the moment and don't really plan on buying anymore.

Beauty and the Beast
Conan The Barbarian
Fright Night
The Smurfs

Pretty sure that's all of them.

Re: How many 3D Blu-Rays do you have?

Tangled
Tron: Legacy
Thor
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Adventures of Tintin
Hugo
The Avengers (well, pre-ordered, anyway)
Dial M for Murder (pre-order)
Brave (pre-order)
Piranha 3DD

There are a bunch I want, and I'd be willing to upgrade BDs I already have. (If I hadn't been sent regular BDs of Drive Angry, Final Destination 5, Piranha, and Fright Night, I might have bought the 3D versions of those, and if a bunch of the at-least-at-one-time TV-exclusive titles were available in combo sets, I would've gotten those too.) Anyway, I'm just waiting on the right 3DTV to hit the market.

I'm more excited about House of Wax, Dial M for Murder, and Creature from the Black Lagoon hitting BD3D than I am about any new theatrical releases 'cause I'm funny like that. If A*P*E hit BD3D, I'd run out and buy a new 3DTV no matter what.

Deathly Hallows Part 2

I have about a dozen.
With that large of a collection, what do you consider to be some of the best ones? Let downs?
I thought Hugo was impressive. Tron Legacy is awful. The dark colors don't let it pop. Nightmare Before Christmas has a similiar issue though not as bad.

Wait, so you're a poor student who's picked up 70 3D blu-rays in the span of a few months! Man, I wish I was a poor student.

Anyway, to answer your question, I have exactly one 3D blu-ray: Cave of Forgotten Dreams. I'll add another when Dial M For Murder comes out. Other than those, there aren't any I plan on buying anytime soon unless I pick up some of the Pixar titles.

Re: How many 3D Blu-Rays do you have?

I only own the following, and just like Scott1598, it is due to the supplements, not the 3D...
Cars 2
John Carter
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I have three pre-ordered, just because there were coupons on Amazon that made them the same price as the 2D versions... They'll most likely be cheaper once everyone's ads come out at the respective times:
Avengers
Brave
Finding Nemo

Besides those, I only plan to pick up Dial M for Murder and Creature from the Black Lagoon; since I will have no choice, if I want to own them...

Re: How many 3D Blu-Rays do you have?

I've been buying the 3D versions of films I want when they dip to $15, even before I had a 3D TV. Up to about 20 titles.

Have had my 3D TV for a month and haven't watched one yet.

Re: How many 3D Blu-Rays do you have?

Avatar 3d - (came with Panasonic promo)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon
Hugo
* The Avengers pre-ordered
* Prometheus pre-ordered

** I catch some 3D movies off the Starz 3D channel and it's pretty good. Our Panasonic Plasma and BR Player actually does a 2D to 3D conversion fairly decent.

Re: How many 3D Blu-Rays do you have?

Wow, I didn't even know there were 71 titles available!

I only have about 5 since buying my 3D TV last year. I enjoy watching 3D but most of the types of films released in 3D don't appeal to me all that much. There's only so many fish documentaries and CGI cartoons I can watch. I am looking forward to increasing my total to 6 when Titanic comes out on Tue though.

And espcially some of the classic titles next month.
