No, I check on this title regularly, but nothing. I did do a disc to digital of the DVD and did get an HD copy, but it's not all that great. It's better quality than the DVD, but it's definitely not 1080p quality. It needs a new remaster.

I remember Shout!/Scream Factory announcing the title a few months ago for August but it may have been taken off the slate. You can still get the import copy but I believe that one is barebones.

I posted this in the horror challenge thread but then realized someone who might be interested may not see it:
I just found out about this boxset and some of you horror soundtrack fans may not know about it either. Limited to 2000 copies.
https://www.varesesarabande.com/prod...t-8-cd-box-set
Also note that Dark Delicacies currently has it available for the same price all signed up which is where I bought my copy. http://www.darkdel.com/store/p248/Ni...THE_EVENT.html
Never bought anything from them before but I ended up going thru their site and buying a few other signed soundtracks that are hard to find: Crystal Lake Memories soundtrack, Jason Goes To Hell soundtrack, Beautiful Darkness: Leviathan Story Of Hellraiser soundtrack, and Night Of The Demons soundtrack!

This deluxe package contains all 8 soundtracks from the original series, over 8 hours of music including almost 3 hours of bonus tracks!
New artwork has been commissioned for the set by artist Shawn Conn, and assembling the CD sleeves next to one another forms a larger piece of art. The pictures above include a sample of an individual sleeve from the front and back, as well as the larger piece of art that is created when all 8 sleeves are placed alongside each other. Before you have any nightmares, please don’t worry … the original Matthew Joseph Peak creations are included in the accompanying booklet. The set is then completed with a knitted Freddy sweater encasing the outer box! A truly unique item that ensures the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET - 8 CD BOX SET will stand out on any shelf.
The world was introduced to Wes Craven’s Freddy Krueger, (portrayed by Robert Englund), in 1984 with A Nightmare on Elm Street. Krueger was a former child killer seeking revenge against the parents who burned him by haunting the dreams of their teenage children and killing them in their dreams. The series has earned almost half a billion dollars worldwide, and boasts some of the most beloved nightmarish themes from composers including: Charles Bernstein (Wes Craven’s A Nightmare On Elm Street), Christopher Young (A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge), Angelo Badalamenti (A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors), Craig Safan (A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master), Jay Ferguson (A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child), Brian May (Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare), J. Peter Robinson, (Wes Craven’s New Nightmare) and Graeme Revell (Freddy Vs. Jason).
Also included in this set is a suite from the video game featured in the film Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare and the theme from Harry Manfredini’s FRIDAY THE 13TH series, as heard in the film Freddy Vs. Jason (with performances by the band Machine Head).
Only 2000 copies of this deluxe package will be sold! Get yours today!

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12
Dawn of the Disc reposted something by some guy claiming Shout is putting out 4K discs by “leaking” artwork. I had originally posted the images but removed. The artwork looks fake. The guy seems kinda unhinged.
It would be cool to get a UHD set though.

Scream Factory says there's no merit to this.

To me it seems like this should be the next franchise that Scream Factory should try to tackle seeing as how they’ve already done definitive Blu-ray box sets for the Halloween and Friday the 13th franchises. It would be pretty cool in my opinion.
Part of me is also kind of surprised that Scream Factory didn’t continue on with more Child’s Play/Chucky releases. They put out the original Child’s Play, but then they stopped.

Different rightsholders; MGM for the first; Universal for the rest. I seem to remember the reasoning for Universal holding onto the others is that "Child's Play is an active franchise" or something along those lines.

Probably safe to say there really is nothing in the works at this time, though I can’t imagine Scream Factory wouldn’t jump at the chance to do it.

They're full of shit. They have made denials like this in the past just to announce the opposite mere days later. We just went through this with the Halloween 4k releases.

Usually, if someone is planning on releasing something but haven't publicly announced it, they'll usually give some kind of wishy-washy "No plans at this time," or something to that effect.

In any event, the "leak" was from an avowed troll, and the art is poorly Photoshopped from vinyl soundtracks. If Scream Factory does wind up putting out a Nightmare box set (and I'd love to see that happen!), it'd be a coincidence.

You're right, Shout, for some reason, insists on denying things emphatically until they make their own announcement. They've done it numerous times in the past. Having said that, the artwork for that scoop looks fake as hell. However, Shout says they haven't looked into ANOES which is definitely BS given their success with the Halloween and Friday the 13th boxsets.
