A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12

Amazon and WBSHop have pre-orders up for A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection, to be released on 10/2.

The Amazon listing only lists 4 discs, but hopefully (especially since Amazon's disc count isn't generally that trustworthy) that's wrong since that would mean it doesn't have the bonus disc featured in other regions.

As long as they have the Never Sleep Again documentary included, then it will be a day 1 purchase for me.

I love it when great blu ray news drops out of the sky, without any warning at all.

I could see myself upgrading here if the price is right. Even more so with the Horror Challenge coming up.

I highly doubt it will. Never Sleep Again was independently produced and released and does not always show everyone in Hollywood in a positive light.

This is pretty nice news to hear. For $41.99 I'll likely get this. Now if Paramount would get off their asses and give us a Friday the 13th Collection I'd be there day one.

Will it include Freddy's Dead in FHD3D?

The UK set didn't have Freddy's Dead in 3D HD or Anaglyphic red-blue 3D.

That sucks. Even the DVD set a few years back at least had the anaglyph version.

In all fairness, didn't the 3d look like shit anyways?

It was goofy but it was rather fun when watching it in theaters. I kinda wanted to relive that (or enjoy an improved FHD3D version).

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12

I assume this will probably just be the same transfers and extras as the UK box set. I was pretty disappointed with Part III and IV's transfer in that set, the colors were all off, and in that regard the DVDs looked better.

I saw that, but that's just referring to the case, and I really doubt that it's at least 7 discs, considering the releases in other regions have only been 5 (the first movie on disc 1, parts 2-7 doubled up on discs 2-4 and special features on disc 5)

Glad I held off on getting the 2/3 double feature. I'll definitely grab this for the right price.

Is the 50 minute 1080i Never Sleep Again documentary on the first ANOES blu taken from parts of the 4 hour stand alone documentary on DVD? I was thinking of picking that DVD up.

Thanks for posting, I wondered what had gone missing from my wishlist.

Wonder whassup with that? Is it a temporary issue or was that a mistake altogether?

BB exclusive? I wonder how much that cost them. They're very clearly desperate for my (read: our) money, but I don't think this is necessarily the answer.
