I did and I still have quite a few coupons left to use before Saturday!

So far, I've also used the U&S coupons on: the E.T. digibook (alongside the Universal $3 off coupon), Hocus Pocus (for the wife) and Rock of Ages. I'll probably grab the 3D edition of Prometheus with it too.

However, back on topic, I'm now glad I can ditch my eight-disc DVD set and I never have to see that fucking labyrinth DVD menu ever again.

You don't get the 3D in the blu-ray, though. Since you have both copies, once you watch the blu-ray, let me know if there is a difference between the special features.

True, but I could care less about Anaglyph 3D.

Here's how the breakdown works:

The Nightmare on Elm Street Blu-ray is the same, exact Blu-ray as released years ago (i.e. same bonus materials as the Infinifilm DVD).

On Discs 2 - 4, the sequels have the same bonus material that were found in their respective menus on the Nightmare on Elm Street Encyclopedia bonus disc.

On Disc 5 (the DVD bonus disc), Welcome to Primetime and Conclusions contain the various interviews (68 minutes) alongside the MTV footage (as an Easter egg) that one had to go digging through on the Encyclopedia to discover. Fear Himself: The Life and Crimes of Freddy Krueger is a new 30-minute documentary and you get episodes 2 and 3 of Freddy's Nightmares.

With the exception of the 3D ending of Freddy's Dead, everything is pretty much intact.

Why exactly is it not on the site anymore? Was this just a limited print and now it's gone? I can't find it at any Best Buy store either. Ugh.

Link I posted still works for me and about half of my stores are still showing it in stock. For whatever reason searching doesn't bring it out anymore.

Thank you so much for that! Seems like once I view the 3D viewing, I could pretty much sell the box set. Seems like it's still a good seller on eBay.

The director has said that they blew the opportunity to really use the 3D to it's fullest and it shows when you watch it. I was planning on keeping mine but a co-worker showed interest in the set, so I sold it off to him.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12

Picked this up today at Best Buy with the U&S coupon.

$39.99 is a pretty good deal IMO for 7 movies plus a bonus disc.

Plus, it's loaded with Bonus Features.

Guess I will be dumping my previous Nightmare DVDs that I picked up 5 years ago for $5 a piece at the next U&S promotion.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12

So something strange is going on with this release. I went to one BB today and they said it's gone and they don't know whether it was recalled or what. I went to nother BB and they had one on the shelf. I went to customer service to biuy it and the screen froze up when the guy tried to scan it. He did something with the transaction where he printed some kind of receipt and moved over to the next computer and rang up the transaction and it he got it to go through. I wonder if I would have been turned away if I went to the regular register.

So is it recalled? Discontinued? Why would they take it completly out of their system in just 2 weeks?

There's been constant issues since it became a Best Buy exclusive.

On Blu-ray.com, the Best Buy employees that run the employee operated thread have mentioned shipments of the set are on their way to most stores and each shipment is guaranteed at least 2+ copies of the set.

since it is in next week's flyer, i am sure most BB's will get a few more at least. no more worries for those that missed out at first.

Interesting the company releasing it is naming it 'Never Sleep Again 2'.

They pulled the product page off their site. While it stopped showing up in searches, you could still use the direct link. Not anymore.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12

My friend scooped one yesterday, but it took a while for the employee to get it, because it couldn't be found. The computer said they had 9 in stock. Screw that. I will be ordering online and only arriving there to pick it up once it's found. I hate wasting my time at BB.

Well, that BB link no longer works, so I guess BB has taken the set completely off of the site.

So weird. I just showed up one day, and disappeared just as mysteriously.

I wonder if there was a recall for the "Freddy's Nightmares" episodes or something.

I'm thinking of just getting the UK or Mexican import. I think the special features are all the same.

I'm beyond happy that I took the drive to my local store and actually found this last week.
