No. He's gone on record that he shoots in excess so he can edit later without ever needing to go back for reshoots or pickups.

I did in 2 different theaters... 1 there was an intermission.. the other there was not.. unsure if the 1 where there wasn't an intermission has some dual spindle thing going on..

I hope they release a steelbook, then I'll have the whole trilogy in STEEL.

Wait, they got all of Nolan's films somehow in the Shaquile O'Neal movie made years before?

Ok I know we say there's movie magic out there but you mean its REAL?

I guess Struckworld let the cat out of the bag. Christopher Nolan is the real director of Steel.

So what's the likelihood that a trilogy box set is released? I have the first two on dvd so I'd really like to upgrade the whole thing to blu.

I'd say it's 100% certain that they'll release a trilogy set. The only question is when.

And what it will include that'll make the double-dip potentially worth it.

Based on what Warner has done with Harry Potter, I wouldn't expect a trilogy box set this year. They might go for a summer release to drum up support for Man of Steel, offering movie cash, or they may be inclined to hold off till next Christmas season as a sort of insurance policy for sales in case MoS tanks. As for what content it may include, I would expect that Dark Knight documentary that's getting a standalone release and maybe even Batman: Gotham Knight. (If the box is put together entirely by Warner's home video department, that seems likelier than if Nolan oversees it.)

Warner has also been favoring bells & whistles box set releases again the last few years. It's not out of the question for a Dark Knight Trilogy box to include film cel(s), a hardcover book surveying the films, a soundtrack compilation CD, bookmarks, flash drives pre-loaded with digital content, Anne Hathaway's panties, a comic book of some kind; anything.

I bet we see one!

There is one for the UK already listed.

The UK has a habit for jumping the gun with boxsets, just packaging everything together and calling it a new release. I wouldn't necessarily see that as an indication of anything.

So most likely a trilogy set won't be released simultaneously with the third film?

Guys, I highly doubt there won't be a trilogy set. This is going to be a huge Xmas seller. They're going to sell it any way they can.

That's what I'm hoping for. I will definitely be getting the film almost immediately after it's released and I don't plan on double dipping if they wait to do a boxset later on.

I thought it was extremely average but still will pick it up. Would love to see all three back to back to back to get a full perspective of the series in one sitting.

Given that there's no actual release date and that box art looks pretty placeholder-ish, I'm not exactly convinced that Blu-ray.com listing is for an actual slated release. But, of course, this is the Internet and I'm just one more conversational speculator.

If it features a remastered release of TDK, they can package it in a brown paper bag for all I care.

Remastered? Were there issues with the release I'm unaware of?

Excessive contrast, edge halos (which may have been the result of the contrast being tweaked in post rather than outright edge enhancement), etc.

IMO, TDK looks incredible and the criticism is nitpicking. Now Begins is the one who needs the remaster. It's a port of the HD-DVD, so it is incredibly weak, and does not take advantage of the Blu-Ray technology. It leaves plenty of room for improvement.

I think we are more likely to get Kill Bill: The Complete Cut before we get that.

WB leaves their shit as is normally w/ their films the 1st time, no? In the current gen of films they've had since BD started.

Generally, yes. However, they remastered Casablanca from scratch for the second Blu-ray edition.
