Meh..the film itself isn't changed at least. Just the box/disc art. Looking forward to this one for sure!

The film is changed. Some matte shots were changed to have dynamic backgrounds.

I should have clarified my post better but I was referring to the title of the film being changed on the actual movie I guess. I forgot about the backgrounds being changed in some scenes though. Truthfully I don't like changes like that and would prefer the original be made available but in this case it's not something that really changes a lot about the film for me personally.

Woah, mattes changed?? That's news to me. Which scenes exactly were changed, and shame on Spielberg for tampering with a film that is already perfect. Might not be purchasing this until I can confirm what, if anything, was changed or modified.

It's been that way for a while. The scene where the Nazi truck goes over the cliff in Raiders of the Lost Ark originally had a matte painting background which was changed a while ago already (maybe when the DVDs were first released?). I thought last year Spielberg had said in the same interview where he told us that he regretted changing the guns in E.T. to walkie talkies that he regretted the changes made to Raiders as well and was going to change it back for the Blu-ray. I could be wrong though.

All of the trailers are included for each film, and in HD. That's great as well. Studios leave off trailers way too often nowadays.

It's been pulled from the site. It was posted on slickdeals, which likely killed it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that doc.

Question: I never bought Crystal Skull on Blu-ray or DVD. Are the now-exclusive extras good enough to make it worth tracking down, or is the stuff that made the box set good enough to tide me over? I didn't love the movie, but I don't hate it the way a lot of people seem to, either.

Re: Indiana Jones Collection -- Fall 2012

Those aren't new Drew paintings are they?

Even if they are pieced together digital jobs they have a nice cohesive look. At least it's not the embarrassment that the SW packaging was...

Raiders is getting a deluxe IMAX release Sept. 7-13 (still waiting confirmation regarding if it includes the film in 15/70 print form)

and all four films in DCP as a 'marathon' on September 15th

here's AMC's link:

Indiana Jones on the Big screen again!

Not playing at our 15/70 IMAX in Austin. Only at the Fake AMC IMAX.

HOWEVER, the Alamo Drafthouse is showing it in 70mm the week before... August 31st-September 6th in their AlamoScope 70mm series in Downtown Austin. Yaaay!

I'd love to see Temple of Doom on the big screen again. My friends and I in college went to a crap-ass theater in Orlando to watch the entire Trilogy back-to-back-to-back and it was the dirtiest most scratched up print i've ever seen.

I forgot this comes out in just 12 days. I haven't kept up with release dates lately, but September has some mammoth titles coming out.

Seriously excited for these. Just ordered a new 120" screen for my basement theater - these will be the first films I watch.
