Eh, I get so many other Blu-Rays for ridiculously low prices, I don't mind dropping some coin on the occasional costly title once every other month so so. And this one is easily one of my top 3 De Palma films, so I have no problem paying, and can finally retire the 720p HDTV rip I have of it.

(Speaking of somewhat pricey De Palma flicks: this reminds me that my order of the Arrow UK edition of Dressed to Kill should be shipping next week. Can't wait!)

I don't remember reading many positive reviews of 'Body Double' when it first came out, I think I can live without owning this in hidef.

Very few Twilight Time releases have actually sold out. Their last release of a De Palma movie, The Fury, is still available. While this might have a marginally larger fan base than that, probably not by much.

As Josh Z said, only a handful of Twilight Time titles have sold out (to date, Fright Night, Journey To The Center Of The Earth, Mysterious Island, Night Of The Living Dead, Christine, The Egyptian and The Big Heat are the only ones). The other De Palma film they released, The Fury, is still available. Now I can see Body Double selling out eventually, but not as quickly as Christine or Living Dead did.

Now that other niche distributors have figured out there is a market for second-tier catalog titles, there is a lot more competition for Twilight Time's releases. I doubt anything beyond the horror titles sell out in the future. If The Egyptian had been released this year, it would have never sold out.

And the last two of those, The Egyptian and The Big Heat, took a long time to sell out, more than a year each to sell 3,000 copies.

Hurry Up. TT announced less than 500 of Body Double. Doing the cart trick shows less than 300.

The listing for Body Double says, "Limited Edition of 3,000 Units," the same as every other Twilight Time release.

I don't know what the "cart trick" is.

You put in a quantity of 3000 in your cart, put it only actually puts in the number of units remaining. There are less than 300 left, almost sold-out.

Just placed my order. I've never seen Body Double and had the dvd next in line in my Netflix queue. I was hoping to get it sometime next week and watch it before deciding whether to purchase. With it selling out so quickly I know it will be easy to get my money back. I promise that if I don't like the movie, I will sell it to someone here at cost. I don't want to be accused of being a scalper.

Thanks for taking one for the team, rocket... BODY DOUBLE is a great film, classic De Palma. I think you will enjoy it.

Went ahead and ordered a copy along with Sleepless in Seattle. Entered 3000for Body Double and it showed only 86 as available. So I'm guessing it'll sell out in a few hours.

No surprise. Glad I pre-ordered and the copy is in the mail as we speak. Many times I play a waiting game, but I just had a feeling this one would sell out.

I'll wait for the Body Double import. It's coming just like The Fury disc.

There are so many Twilight Time movies I'd love to see once or twice, but aren't willing to pay to purchase. Has anyone seen these movies for rent somewhere online?

And now the TT site says "less than 900 remain" of Body Double. I hate these assholes for constantly doing shit like this.

My copy of Body Double has shipped! :)

And I never knew this, but their was actually a music video made for "Relax" directed by Brian De Palma to promote Body Double.

If it said that previously, it doesn't now, and the disc is still open for sale.

Where? Seriously, I can't find any reference to how many copies are supposedly remaining. Nor can I find any TT announcement stating that only 500 copies would be produced.

I think this is more likely a Screen Archives error than anything Twilight Time is deliberately orchestrating. SA has never struck me as a very efficiently run operation.
