Christine! I'll be keeping my DVD with the JC commentary as well. Here's hoping that a fully loaded Blu-ray import of Christine makes an appearance at some point.

Haven't a couple of their BD's ported over some extras? Maybe the JC comm will be included (I hope so.)

THE FURY, CHRISTINE, and THE BLOB '88 are three must-haves for me. I'm however, *extremely* reluctant to preorder based upon the hideous release and lack of fixing that NOTLD 1990 received.

I just can't trust that my $100+ for 3 titles would get me unaltered and original color-timed versions of those beloved films! Sad, isn't it?

I'm about to place an order for THE BLUE LAGOON from Screen Archives and I get a warning that they won't replace an item unless I add $15 or $25 to the already expensive order to ship to Canada. Anybody have a bad experience with them. I'm not sure what to do, but I really want the title on Blu.

I really hope I can have a good experience with this company since they are releasing two of my favorite '80s films in HD: Christine and The Blob.

So awesome about those Walter Hills.
Hard Times in widescreen finally and The Driver is soooo damn good.

What happened to the Blob though?

Hard Times AND The Driver?

Hell yea.

Would love to see THE DRIVER in 1080p, but I'll stick to my DVD given that it's $30+tax+shipping from TT, and, judging from their past epic failure of NOTLD, picture quality may not be much of an improvement. Once burned, you're not likely to go back to the pot for more.

The reason NOTLD didn't get "fixed" was because that's what Sony intended the transfer to look like. Sony had altered the transfer for what they had initially planned for a 20th Anniversary release that never came to fruition. That was the transfer that they gave to Twilight Time. It would have likely looked like that regardless of whether Sony released it themselves or not.

Now if Twilight Time's track record was like Paramount's Sapphire Series line, I'd fully understand you being hesitant to pick up some of these. However, NOTLD is so far the only release of theirs that has had so much controversy; the rest of their releases have been excellent, and they've been putting in more effort in porting over past extras as well, so I wouldn't write them off just yet, especially in the case of titles like Christine, which will likely sell out even quicker than NOTLD did...

Well then, to be fair, perhaps I will give them one more shot. Is THE BLOB still on track, or has it been cancelled? Incidently, I was most impressed with MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, to give credit where it is due.

As far as I know, it's still planned, it just hasn't been given a date yet.

I'd definitely try to lock in Christine if I were you. The horror titles they've put out have been the quickest to sell out.

in for Hard Times, The Driver and Leave Her to Heaven (which should look gobsmacking in HD).
