Had received an email from SAE for a 10% off "one time only use" coupon for having an item in my cart/wishlist. Just used it to purchase Bye Bye Birdie.

If anybody would like to try to order something with it, the code is wish081912 .

It expires Sunday at midnight 12PM EST on August 19, 2012.

I received the same code, so I think it should work for everyone. I bought Cover Girl, Bell, Book and Candle, Picnic, and Bye Bye Birdie for $124.02 shipped. Still a bit pricey, but I look at TT releases this way: roughly 90% of all the non-Criterion releases I buy cost me under $10, so I don't really mind shelling out $30 for the other 10%, although I'm not dancing in the street about it or anything.

I prefer the deals where they give a free DVD for purchasing a certain dollar amount. I hope they do that soon as there are still some of the DVD's that I want.

Just tried using that code and it says, 'You are not eligible to use the discount code wish081912.'

Re: The Official Twilight Time Blu-ray Thread

You needed to have had titles in your wish list or cart for a month or longer for the code to work.

I guess I need to leave it in there for a couple more weeks -- yikes.

1 day of coupon left, to buy or not to buy....

Well I bit on Bye Bye Birdie and Those Magnificent Men, still expensive but hey with TT titles skyrocketing in value it's a steal of a deal.

Not a fan of that NOTLD cover sice it looks like a possession film , not a zombie picture. I know this wont be a restoration disc with the deleted gore reinstated into the film. With the hefty price tag, I think ill pass on this.

I liked it better with Fright Night when they used the theatrical art. That NOTLD cover is so generic looking. I actually thought it was a release of the original when I saw it, then I remembered they were releasing the remake. The cover does nothing to tell you it's the remake (done on purpose perhaps?)

LOL. That is one bad looking NOTLD cover.

I would have never known it was the remake if someone didn't tell me. Surely done on purpose :)

The Enemy Mine cover looks like Alien Jungle Fever.

The NOTLD cover is just completely uninspired.

You know, if TT is going to rape our wallets for these discs the least they could do is commission decent art.

Appropriately enough, as NOTLD is one bad looking movie.

Terrible cover art for both titles. I'm not usually particular for frivolities like art and packaging (give me a GOOD transfer over good art / packaging any day), but if I'm paying $35+ for each blu, I reasonably demand awesome cover art! Original post art, please. Why is everyone so adverse to using original one-sheet art for Blu releases? Licensing issues?

Hey now, it's got some great FX work. And Tony Todd. And Tom Towles. And Bill Moseley.

Of course, I'll admit to watching it with a rose-colored tint since it was in heavy rotation when I was a kid.

All major pluses. I was just referring to the flat, drab look of the film itself, which has almost none of the spooky ambience that gave the original its shadowy, nightmarish quality.
