Another feature of the "NEVER pay $500" Oppo is that you can make .iso copies of your BDs to a hard drive and just plug that in to the Oppo. That won't help your java problem though. It certainly would be cheaper to get a large hard drive than to keep buying BD-R discs.

But, that was $150, not $500. Huge difference especially considering all the price drops now.

Regarding BD movie size, when a dula layer disc was mentioned, I never price them (didn't know they were available since I don't have a BD burner. My first and only though wqs just use two single layer discs as I have done for years with DVD's.

BUT, I then though of this Java problem. Can I assume that won't work since this silly app has to be re-loaded (assuming the movie is a Java version) if the 1st disc were removed? Or could the app be included (again) in the 2nd disc?
