This looks interesting for you bad movies, comic book and 3D fans:
ROBOT MONSTER COMICS IN 3-D 64-page graphic novel! by Bob Furmanek, 3-D Film Archive — Kickstarter
It includes more than just Robot Monster. But for the three Robot Monster fans out there, you will be even happier with a variety.

The book isn’t for me, but it’s cool that they’re doing it. Seems like nearly every indie comic put up on Kickstarter gets funded nowadays.

It’s on Vudu, I don’t want it that badly though.

Are all 3D active glasses the same? Meaning one wouldn't have a better 3D picture/effect than another set of active glasses, right? Thanks.

Regardless of whether you purchase glasses made by the manufacturer of your projector or not, there are still many other factors you can consider that will help you select a pair of glasses that will make your 3D viewing experience more immersive including the following:
- Panel (Lens) Response Time
- Transmittance
- Viewing Angle
- Contrast (Suggested Ratio of 1,000:1 to 1,500:1)
- Lower Power Consumption
- Water Resistance
- Weight
- Ergonomics

thanks Jay. I think, well, know you're right. I bought a pair, not expensive from Amazon (with same day shipping) and it did look better almost immediately than my other glasses I had that were years old. The new ones look like they project the image better and it is more pronounced. I only did a sample, maybe a minute, but I def saw a difference. will give them the full test this weekend. thanks again, Jay!

This probably doesn’t belong here, but since there’s no 3D thread in the movies forum, I’ll just note here that I Saw a screening of DAWN OF THE DEAD (78) in 3D at TIFF here last Thursday. I’m sure other folks here probably saw it (or boycotted it) ages ago, so I’m kinda late to the game. It was the last of three showings and I figured none of them would probably be very crowded because it wasn’t Halloween, nor was it part of a special series or anything, but damned if the theatre wasn’t about three-quarters full. From what I’ve read, paying to see the film this way is tantamount to keeping the 2D original in home video limbo in North America because the producer is apparently determined to get his investment out of the 3D conversion, so that kinda sucks. But I will say that the conversion is excellent, and doesn’t make the film any worse, or any better. It’s still a classic to these eyes, and it was nice to see it on a big screen for the first time ever. The deep-focus setting of the mall and its long promenade and various narrow corridors are well served by the 3D. There are pop-outs, which surprised me for a conversion, but they were used very sparingly and mostly just quick bits of blood and flesh flying out of the screen during zombie kills (plus some guns pointing at the camera a couple of times). Not sure if those bits of flying gore were enhanced in any way, though (like CG?). I don’t know how long they plan to keep this version in circulation, but hopefully it’s nearing the point of having made its investment back so we can get the flat version properly released in a special edition over here before we all die of old age. And if they wanted to include the 3D edition in a combo pack, I’d be ok with that.

I saw Dawn of the Dead 3D at Regal back in October 2022. I thought it was pretty good too. I had to go out and get someone because they didn't flip 'the thing' (whatever it's called that is flipped down in front of the projector to split the beam) so the first 5-10 minutes were reverse 3D. It was a small theater, but pretty filled.
