Is there a rumored release for 101 Dalmatians? I saw German cover art at DVDizzy but I wasn't able to find any info for a US release.

Re: Walt Disney Animated classics 2012 bluray releases

So, here is the Animated Classics release schedule for the rest of the year (pending any further announcements)

July 3
Treasure Planet
Home on the Range

August 21
The Aristocats
The Rescuers/The Rescuers Down Under
Pocahontas/Pocahontas 2

September 18
Great Mouse Detective

October 2
Cinderella

October ???
Brother Bear
Atlantis: The Lost Empire

The major titles (Diamond Editions) are not going to come out any faster than their twice a year schedule.

Upcoming Diamond Editions (fixed release schedule)

Aladdin - Spring 2013
The Little Mermaid - Fall 2013
Peter Pan
The Jungle Book
101 Dalmatians

And the rest of the classics. I think the biggest gap is that huge group of fairly popular titles between 1996-2002 (Hunchback to Lilo) that aren't released.

Unreleased and unscheduled (17 titles)

6. Saludos Amigos
7. The Three Caballeros
8. Make Mine Music
9. Fun and Fancy Free
10. Melody Time
11. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
18. The Sword in the Stone
21. Robin Hood
22. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
25. The Black Cauldron
27. Oliver & Company
34. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
35. Hercules
36. Mulan
37. Tarzan
40. The Emperor's New Groove
42. Lilo & Stitch

If we continue to get 8-10 titles per year, then everything should be released by 2015.

Such a shame. Who the hell is clamoring for Treasure Planet or Home on the Range? Disney?

Actually, I really like Treasure Planet.

But, I agree, it's a real shame about some of those.

There's a UK release of Tarzarn. Has anyone seen it?

I thought so too. I thought Atlantis was also a Fall 2012 release as well.

Re: Walt Disney Animated classics 2012 bluray releases

Looking at the list of unreleased stuff, it wouldn't surprise me if numbers 6-11 on that list are released in two or more likely 3 combo packs.

I would love to see a BD release of Hercules! The DVD has been in dire need of an upgrade for years!

Yeah, I guess you're right. Supposedly for October. No firm date for them yet. I added them to the calendar though.

Completely agree. Amazon Video has Hercules in HD (I think you have to stream it from the PS3 for HD.) Purchased it the other day with one of their codes for $3 off. Looked much better than the garbage non-anamorphic DVD.

SOURCE

This is probably my favorite Disney movie of all time, so I'm thrilled it's finally getting a Blu-ray release. I was hoping they'd have released it alongside Winnie The Pooh, but as long as we get it sooner rather than later that's all I care about.

Re: Walt Disney Animated classics 2012 bluray releases

I was just at my local Best Buy to pick up the preorder case for "Brave". Did not see one for "Finding Nemo" ...

Next week, maybe? Has the weekly ad been leaked yet?

Didn't realize that Best Buy has the Brave case too. Is that one out already?

It was released on Oct. 28, this past Sunday. It's online too:

You MIGHT be able to check store availability by calling them and asking about SKU 6800822.
