Michael Bay Showcases Transformers Blu-ray Limited Edition
http://vimeo.com/34874078

At 1:10 in the video, he shows what the case looks like.

About the Signature... the video and the final seconds of it tells the story

Just because he says it, doesn't mean he actually did it. But like I said, if he did each and every one, he probably did it over a long period of time.

And I'm not that impressed with the packaging. You open it and a film strip pops up. That's the best they could do?

I'd rather get that badass Optimus Prime statue (if I had any space to display it) than that ugly boxset.

I'm still gonna stick with my plan to get the standard 3D release.

I prefer believing that - as he took time to shoot a promotional video about the release and the 5,000 signatures ... than this:

A January release makes sense. They can blow out the standard combo pack through December heavily discounted. And also wait for more 3D sets to be sold that month. And of course, there will be plenty of gift cards given out that people will want to use in January.
(which by the way given credit despite the "false" street date and ended up being shared in this forum)

it was an estimate and the guy was only off by a week. I fail to see the problem.

Good lord, get the fuck over it. I don't think my post said: "1/24/12 is 100% the release date. I bet my life on it!"

I was simply relaying information. I'm not sure why you are still wetting yourself over this. As I said before, this only means you have to wait 1 MORE WEEK and then you can have a little private party in your house with your 25 versions of TF3 3D and you can jump up and down singing with glee that you own more copies than ANYONE on DVD Talk.

Be open to criticism, especially sharing information from a source that:

- Unreliable
- From another forum

You wouldnt post it in the first place unless there is a valid reason why youre doing it??? and you wouldnt be defensive now unless you believe that source is reliable (despite youre contesting now - that you think its Not 100% accurate)

"he says 1/24/12 is looking like the date for the 3D version."

Does that statement mean "this is 100% guaranteed to arrive on 1/24/12"?

Release dates and estimates change all the time. Nothing new about that. I think everyone else here realized it was an estimate by the source and didn't think it was a big deal that the release date was a whole 1 week off.

And where did you get the 100% rebuttal - you emphasized it several times as a defensive post?

Amazon has lowered to $29.99. This is the best price if you don't have the $10 off coupon. Pre-order your copies today!

Doesn't look like Best Buy will have stand-alone 4 disc set in store. It isn't listed on their site, only the gift set is.

I wouldn't worry about it. I imagine that it will be available and on sale release week.
