1. Horde copies of HP Blu rays
2. Dump them in Summer of 2012
3. ???
4. Profit

Did I do that correctly?

Well that's one way to bolster the bootleg market.

I rather pre-order this at Amazon UK for $48.23 or so.

I ended up pre-ordering the Amazon UK limited edition. If I'm going to spend ~$90.00, at least I will get the fancy one. Chances are if a new "complete" edition comes around in 1,2,3 years or whatever, I should be able to resell my LE for the price I paid.

Heads up for those interested in the LE set on Amazon UK, the price shows £66.97($107) but changes to £55.81($89) when you check out.

Is that just the theatrical cuts or does it include the extended cuts as well?

And how many extended cuts did they end up with?

No idea. I'm not a Potter fan, I bought it as a gift. Didn't the US only get a couple extended cuts anyway?

I think the first two have extended cuts, but Warners stopped them after those. I'm guessing they know they can re-release these with the extended footage for the Ultimate editions and the upcoming Saga package. I have no idea though whether or not the Ultimate editions for 3-6 have any more additional footage. Maybe someone who already has these can chime in.

Re: What can we expect for a Harry Potter Complete collection?

The only movies with extended cuts are the first two films. None of the other directors wanted to do extended cuts, they were happy with their theatrical cuts.

I bought all the Harry Potter Blu-rays separately with 3D Blus, DVDs and Digital Copies included.

Could somebody who bought the set please post pictures of what the US Harry Potter Complete Collection looks like inside? Thanks.

I thought Order of the Phoenix was rumoured to be a longer cut.

the TV edition of Prisoner of Azkaban was extended.

been hearing that Best Buy's Black Friday deal on "Deathly Hollow's Part 2" 3D bluray will be $17.99

I'm guessing this probably wasn't director approved

I remember seeing ads on TV for an extended airing of Prisoner of Azkaban, but when I watched it, I didn't notice any deleted scenes reinstated. Anyone know what was added?

Regardless, Cuaron didn't approve it and apparently didn't want it on DVD/Blu-ray.

Order of the Phoenix could use an extended cut, but the director likes it as is.

Spoiler:

You know, I've been steadfast in holding off on getting any of the Harry Potter movies on Blu-Ray, specifically because I'm holding out for the eventual box set that will have ALL the extras from the Ultimate Editions, plus some. In fact, the only one I have on DVD is the Half-Blood Prince, because I have it in a steelbook.

And now I have to see those pictures, and I immediately want to get them. Thanks a lot.

Re: What can we expect for a Harry Potter Complete collection?

18 movies discs? I guess that would be 1-8, 7 3D, 8 3D, and one more for each, DVDs maybe?

EDIT: And 13 special features disc, the Ultimate Editions for 1-4 each had two special feature discs (1 DVD and 1 Blu-ray) and 5 and 6 each had one special feature Blu-ray. That would be 10 discs, plus one each for 7 and 8 would be 12, maybe an exclusive bonus disc?

Holy shit!! Now that's what I'm talking about! I guess I'll have to get a loan or become a male prostitute or something to afford that monstrosity!

Re: What can we expect for a Harry Potter Complete collection?

Are the ultimate editions the only way to get the extended cuts of the first two movies on Blu?

Aside from this bohemeth, of course.
