Technically, the US DVD version hasn't been released yet. Warners decided to put the censored European version on blu instead.

I have a bad feeling that Mallrats isn't too likely to be released on Blu, or Jersey Girl, for that matter.

Well, of course, there're always the theatrical version of the Star Wars movies. And lately, the IMAX versions of Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Star Trek: Into Darkness.
They don't have to release it commercially for Blockbuster, but I don't see why they can't let mature adults order it online.
What was the holdup with that movie? I recently saw a theatrical screening, I was heartbroken that it wasn't a real film print, especially since the theater can apparently project 70mm, but there were credits at the end for a 4K restoration, I'm assuming it was the one on the BR. I did look mighty purty, though I'd swear it was project 2.35 instead of 2.20, but maybe I was paranoid.
Hey, at least they're on DVD.
That was a fairly high-profile movie, why hasn't it gotten a BR release?
Just order the UK disc if it isn't. Or just order the soundtrack, the soundtrack is awesome.
Lawrence looks like it'll finally see the light of day, probably for the anniversary. Bill Hunt posted a Q&A with the a Sony senior VP about it. His answer....
Q: Can you talk about other classic film restorations from Sony that you're working on? What else is coming for theatrical revival and Blu-ray release? We're thinking of titles like Lawrence of Arabia, On the Waterfront and From Here to Eternity. We'd heard that the Lawrence restoration has already been completed...
A: Actually, Lawrence is not completed, yet, though we have begun work on it. It is a complicated project and will certainly take a year to complete. The 8K scans of the negative are done, so we are at least headed down that road. The Caine Mutiny is in the works, as is Guns of Navarone. We recently released a major restoration of The Bridge on the River Kwai, both theatrically and on Blu-ray, and it has been very well received. The other classic titles will find their way out to Blu-ray and I think it is just a matter of finding the right time to schedule those.

How about 1969's Star! ? Its DVD is an unwatchable, EE plagued mess, very similar to The Bible ...In The Beginning, another large format film. They put The Bible on Blu-ray with a good transfer and it's amazing. Between a competent HD transfer and lossless sound (which one can currently enjoy on LD, a release that is superior in both video and audio to the DVD), Star! is one of the titles that stands to most benefit from a Blu-ray release that will probably never happen.

I know it's hopeless, but I'm still hoping for a loaded Blu "Elizabethtown". Though I'm sure I'm the only one!
