The Social Network is as compelling of a movie as Fincher has yet done. Definitely worth a purchase.

Is this Jesse Eisenberg's best movie role so far? I thought he did great in Zombieland. I wish I would've seen The Social Network in theaters.

Easily Eisenberg's best role so far.

I'm mulling over Bridges in True Grit, but otherwise Eisenberg is my Best Actor pick, with James Franco a close third.

Surprised people dislike the cover.

I cannot express how much I loved this film - saw it twice in the theaters (and it was better the second time around). I will definitely be grabbing this on release day.

And put in the group that actually likes the cover, it's fitting for the film.

Re: The Social Network - 1/11/11

For those who regret missing it in the theater you may want to check your listings for this weekend. My local theater in Bristol, VA is showing it again starting this weekend. Don't know if that's happening anywhere else. I may go see it again.

Anyway, definitely getting this. In fact, I just put in the pre-order on Amazon. Sounds like a great collection of extras for an amazing film.

+1

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was probably my favorite film of the year, but this... honestly, this truly surpasses best film of the year for me. I think people will be talking about this one for a long time in a way many people don't quite recognize just yet. Next to the definition of an American Classic you should see this film cited as an example. It's that good.

This is easily Eisenberg's best work. He was flat-out excellent.

And as much as I HATE that cover art, I don't buy DVDs/Blu-Rays for the artwork, I buy them for the films (although if a version of the film has REALLY nice artwork, I could be willing to splurge; the steelbook for Inception, for example), and this film was very good; enough to warrant a purchase.

Meh I don't really care for the art either. Its like its trying too hard to get people to buy that its good. Not that it isn't a good film (I haven't seen it so I can't judge) but it just seems a bit much.

Actually, that's brilliant. Someone should do a custom cover like that.

That's not a bad idea at all. I'd like to see that myself.

Missed this in theaters, but can't wait to see it. I absolutely love the cover art, as well.

Bestbuy.com's price is $16.99. Amazon has a link that allows you to tell them about a lower price. I just sent my message to them.

It's at the bottom of the "Product Details" section for all items on Amazon. Looks like:

Still playing at about four theaters in my area and saw it yesterday. I'd like to see it again.

Re: The Social Network - 1/11/11

Well, you could if you had a $15 RZ certificate. Or even a $20 one.

Good thing this is being release before the Oscars. I don't see how they could fit any more bullshit on that cover.

Yeah, it makes the cover look like a Facebook wall. I wonder if that's the intended effect.
