I suspect we'll look back on the first three movies as the "Will Turner/Elizabeth Swan Trilogy." That being the case, I'm fine with having a box with the first three, and then going forward with the rest of the series as it's released. Like others, I expect at least two more sequels to create a second trilogy.

I never got the first three movies on Blu, so I thought about this. But unless it's a great price like $40ish by the release day, I'll wait for all four movies to be released in a collection.

The bonus disc has nearly 60 minutes worth of deleted scenes with optional commentary by the Director
Depending on how you wanna count that, thats 2 hours of content. Not bad.
For a moment I was disappointed that Disney didn't take the opportunity to include the features from the Black Pearl DVD re-release with the 3rd disc, but I just found out all that content was already included in the blu-ray, so I guess this set is complete.

I'd like this set, but I only like the first movie enough to rebuy it. $50 is a reasonable price, though.

Pics of the Best Buy set. The box is pretty large compared to a regular BD. The only downside is the holders are sleeves. Not a huge fan of those.

Really like the look of that Best Buy set but those sleeves do indeed suck. Thanks for the link to the pics.

I had a XAGE moment and picked up the new Pirates set...even though I already have them. I'm a sucker for sets like these although, I admit I am not a fan of the sleeves.

I can't justify spending another $40-50 dollars on a set, for movies I just bought 2 years ago. I want the deleted scenes disc, but I will wait for atleast a hefty discount. Disney gets my money on releases but this double dip can wait. especially with the Incredibles on the Blu horizon...

My local BX is selling the first 3 films individually and all include dvds as well. No 7th disc this way though, but at least you get standard casing if that's your thing.

I looked at the box set the other day. The bonus disc is in a white envelop packed in with the insert that wraps around the actual box. It's the kind of packaging design that suggests to me that Disney intends to later release the box without that disc.
Also, the blurb on the front of the box suggests that you get a ticket to see the new movie. Each of the individual releases includes a free movie ticket for it as well. I'm assuming that the box set actually offers three movie tickets (one with each title) and not one ticket for the entire box.

I'd like to have that seventh disc, but it isn't worth $50 to me as I already own all three movies already.
Total dick move, but then again, Mickey has always been a **** when it comes to home video releases.

OK, I'm really tempted buy the Best Buy set, even though I already have the original trilogy box set. I'm really a sucker for packaging
The tipping point will be the deleted scenes. For those who already got this, how is it? Does it have anything that adds to the story? Especially to the mess of the story that 3rd one is? Like any more story to Calypso and Davy Jones?

They've been pretty generous lately with upgrade incentives, ten dollar off coupons...even offering promo codes for people with the VHS, so they haven't been as bad as in the past. Not to mention the Movie Rewards, which ends up giving you stuff for free. This is no different than a complete series box set with a bonus disc...people who bought the individual seasons get shafted, but a lot of studios do that.
