I'll buy this for the improved transfer, but no way can I part with that sweet ass LE DVD.

I'm gonna hold onto both the DVDs and probably get this. Following is going to be on Criterion, and with that we'll have good releases of all of Nolan's movies on BD.

While I'll probably still have to hang onto the 2-Disc DVD for the extras not getting ported over, I'm happy to see that this is getting a new Blu-Ray release; this was one film I was holding off on getting in hopes that it would get upgraded.

I only own the first BD release of the film (which I bought for $5 at a Gamestop), so I'll definitely upgrade.

Do you have any more info on this?

From our very own! Although I forgot it didn't mention anything about BD, but personally I'd think they would do so.

Thanks. That's an old thread, so I hope it's still going to happen.

I don't see why Following hitting Blu-ray wouldn't happen. It's just a matter of time. It's a Christopher Nolan film, so I see no reason why we should be worried about it hitting Blu.

$13.99 at Amazon right now for the pre-order
might want to get in at that price as you are guaranteed the lowest price if it drops and can always cancel closer to street if you find it for less (doubtful) elsewhere

The SRP is $19.98.

The odds this will be $10 at Wal-Mart on street date are HUGE.

If that doesn't happen, the odds this will be $8 a few weeks after street date are HUGE.

Maybe Best Buy will squeak it in early as an exclusive, like that wave of Lionsgate (mostly) horror releases this year.

I'm willing to take the bet against that

I'll go one futher and say likelihood of seeing this release at WM at all is slim

Why the hell did they have to alter the cover?

Not the greatest image but it's a breath of fresh air from the stock image used on every cover thus far.

I've been trying to avoid repeating my DVDs (with not much success) but this one looks nice.

I have the old BD unwatched....I'll have to pass. Good to see Lionsgate improved upon the Sony one though.

Re: Memento: 10th Anniversary Edition - 2/22/11

Blu-ray.com Review

For once a film's second Blu-ray release represents a significant upgrade instead of a tired retread with different packaging. Sony released its Blu-ray of Memento very early in the format, and while that BD certainly looked better than the SD-DVD, it was an often dark and soft looking transfer. This new Lionsgate release is heads and shoulders above the Sony release, delivered via an AVC codec in 1080p and 2.35:1. Not only is the image noticeably sharper and better defined, with wonderful levels of fine detail, contrast and especially color and saturation are much better and more clearly defined.
