Same here. I always laugh when people talk about how rare the slipcovers are for Crank, Dracula, King Kong, Casino Royale, etc. because I've tossed them all.

Unless the slipcover has different artwork or is lenticular, glossy, foil, or just looks neat; I could give a flying fuck about the slipcover.

I guess you enjoy throwing money away, huh?
Just give me the film in the best PQ/AQ possible. I could give two-shits about how it's packaged (as long as it's in a standard Vortex case, I don't need no BTTF-debacles again). |

I never got a slipcover when I purchased Crank (for eight dollars at Wal-Mart).

I do agree with you with the Vortex cases. I wish all blus were housed in Vortex cases. Viva cases are crap. Especially their eco cases :yack: |
Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
slipcover goes rubbish here too, even the different looking ones (Star Trek 2009, G.I. Joe) gets tossed. I guess I just like the quick access to my disc.

Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
Pretty much interesting lineup of rarity there.

Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
Is Norbit (Eddie Murphy) rare??
|
Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
Norbit is rare in the sense that very few consumers actually own a copy.
|
Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
What is special about the Black Dynamite disc listed in the OP?

Some people are selling it really high on Amazon. Between $68 - $112. Kinda crazy if you ask me.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...&condition=new Norbit on eBay has gone for between $8.50 - $27. Not really that valuable. Hot Rod, with the exception of one going for $60, have all gone for the high $20's as well. Bird about $20. |
Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
As I posted in the Criterion thread, mccarver just listed the Chungking Express BD in his OOP thread, & Amazon doesn't have it in stock.

Selling and 'sold' is a different story. I could list it for $500, but if it doesn't sell, it's not really selling for $500.

Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
Good call on Blockbuster. I'll have to look for "Hot Rod" there.
|
Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
I can confirm Hod Rod at BBV as well. Saw it tonight when I picked up a copy of Zodiac DC for $9.99
|
Re: Most limited and rarest Region A Blu-Rays
Hot Rod is 9.99 at bbv, i snagged the only copy at my store.
We also have one rental copy of Zodiac but it;s been rented out for a few days, I think it's gone. |

I have the Bram Stroke's Dracula slipcover. Now that slipcover is ultra rare. It's impossible to find nowadays unless you get it on e(vil)bay.
