I guess...it's only a $5 coupon, but I always need CD-Rs. Also not sure what price point triggers free shipping.

There are three options here in Canada...

#1 - HMV - Briefcase Edition
#2 - BestBuy - includes Shooting Script
#3 - FutureShop - SteelBook

Not sure which one to get. Decisions decisions...

Ah, folly of youth. I remember a time when I would've just driven around and nabbed all three. Happy with the briefcase.

just got it from UPS. Downloading the DC, and about to watch the film w/ Nolan and DiCaprio in it's Extraction Mode. I remember the film well...now tell me what I don't know and fascinate me you two.

Man, for a film this massive, these extras are pretty disappointing.

Warner has never been one to "stand out" when it comes to bonus features, specifically on new releases.

However, the lack (for a better word) of special features may rest more on Nolan's shoulders than Warner's.

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010

I think it's WB that does it mostly...but I also think Nolan may have a hand on his stuff. His films never have as much features as you'd want. Memento had a good amount though, if I remember correctly.

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010

thats why I think a better edition is in store. Nolan has been busy, and everything post Batman hasn't seen a definitive edition, and we know he's game for features, look at Memento and Insomnia.

Insomnia actually has one of my favorite features. The film in shooting order with commentary from Nolan. Very interesting, and it works perfectly.

one year, two years, three years, I actually think people are silly in thinking there WONT be another edition.

I just came from FYE store and bought the steelbook, but while I was in there I saw the regular Blu but with a Lenticular/Holographic cover... is this how all the regular Blurays are? I didn't wanna buy it there because it was $32, but I wanna go to Best Buy or Target if those are lenticular also.
Can anybody confirm?

The one I got from Amazon had the lenticular slip.

Has anybody been to Best Buy or Target? Do they have the lenticular slip covers also?

Anyone text that number that is on the packaging? If so, what is it?

I just came on here to ask the same thing. I was worried about getting a bunch of junk sent to my phone.

You get a text from Warner's that will guide you to go to the link http://media.snaptag.mobi/inception. It shows that digital comic The Cobol Job. The text also says to respond with the word DREAM to get Warner's updates via text. That's it.

EDIT: Just went to the site, it seems to show some of the extras that are on the BD.

Does anybody know if any of the versions of Inception have a director's commentary? Is that basically what Extraction Mode is? Is that Blu-Ray only? Just wondering. I only have a DVD player.

My BB had three versions: their exclusive with shooting script; the 3-disc with lenticular; and a barebones 1-discer sans slip.

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010

Picked up the 3-disc set at best Buy today. Couldn't bring myself to get the version with the script as I'm sure a pdf will pop up online should I ever feel like reading it. The metal case version just seemed like a waste of money to me (no offense to those who enjoy collectibles).

This BD looks as good as TDK should have and the sound is absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't resist cranking this up to reference on my home theatre and I'm so glad I did.

No, there's no different versions of the movie. Extraction mode is basically 45 minutes of featurettes integrated into the film. You have the option to watch them during the movie. Not sure if the DVD edition has them on it.

I'm pretty sure that all the regular Blu-Rays (for the time being, anyway) have the lenticular cover. I will say that the FYE you went to messed up the pricing if they were $32.99 (I work there, the steelbooks are $32.99, the regular Blu-Ray is supposed to be $27.99). With that said, since you can get it for $10 cheaper at BB or Target, I say go for it.

trespoochies answered your question above, but also worth noting that Nolan has not recorded a commentary for Batman Begins, The Prestige, or The Dark Knight, either.

Ok, cool. I just got the DVD and it has the Extraction Mode featurettes on it.

That's too bad. I was hoping for a commentary that fully explained the plot, but after watching it for the second time, I think that I get it now. So, it's not a huge loss. Would have been kind of neat, though.
