Looks like I may have to buy multiple copies. Future Shop has a steelbook which I NEED. HMV Canada has the metal briefcase set and Best Buy has a version with alternate slipcover/shooting script and $10 rebate.... getting the first two sets for sure I think - depends how cool the HMV set really is.

this will have a better edition down the line, for sure, so I will stick to the cheapest copy I can find (target), and call it a day.

looks confirmed that the the FYE SteelBook™ is same as Future Shops', which is extremely lovely.

Any chance that drops in price on release day? Currently $33.

good chance it will be less than $30, plus, most likely a $5-7 rebate to be mailed in.

I actually doubt this will have a better edition anytime in the foreseeable future. Warner hasn't been double dipping new releases much, and just isn't into creating the lengthy special features you see out of Paramount, etc. For example, Dark Knight, Terminator Salvation, etc.

I'm personally shocked we haven't seen a Dark Knight double dip yet.

^ And I doubt it'll happen. They didn't bother doing one for Batman Begins before TDK's release and that one would've been prime to include deleted scenes we know exist based on production stills. I think more than likely we'll see a re-release with movie cash or something rather than a new edition with more features.

If anything, I guess they might do some Nolan Batman Trilogy pack once TDKR is released.

Batman Begins hadn't been released on blu-ray until right before The Dark Knight was released. In fact, WB put the opening scene from TDK on the Batman Begins blu-ray. If the movie HAD been released on blu-ray before then maybe we would have gotten a double dip.

You mean with a bonus 5 minute scene from the sequel? That can't really be considered a double-dip. A double-dip usually comprises of several new features. A promotional fluff piece is not that.

Even The Hanger Extreme Edition was the same disc, just came with some stupid pictures.

Hold on - everyone start passing on every film that hits BD. Because time has shown us (with maybe 10-15 BDs) that double-dips will occur for the other 3,400 titles.

..........lol. Those are the numbers from the movie, not the numbering of your set. There's no way they made over 500k of those things.

Way to piss one someone's parade. :) Not much of a collector's item if that number were to be true though.

Actually that would be an AMAZING collector's item if they were numbered and he just so happened to get the number from the movie, but alas...

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010

Totally forgot about those numbers in the film!
That is pretty funny.

I just called the store nearest me, (not near at all, since my local one closed), and they confirmed an in-store price of $33, same as online.

There is a $5 coupon for FYE.com, but it can't be used until release day, and your order must be at least $40: $5 FYE.com Coupon

did they say anything about a rebate that will print with purchase? that price is horrible and even though I am a whore for attainable US books such as this, that Target price is very tempting.

Apparently, there will be no rebate on this item.

My plan is to order online and throw some CD-Rs in my cart to get my order over $40.
