Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
So it's safe to say that it's good I've already pre-ordered this bad motherfucker from the UK? Which is Region Free as well....

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
Movie was good but not enough for the briefcase. I got the case for Blade Runner but that movie is a classic. I'll just settle for the regular Blu, thank you :)

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
My first blind buy of 2010.
edit: 2nd bb. (TS3) |
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
Definitely blind-buying this as well.
Feel like I'm one of maybe a handful of people on the planet who hasn't seen it. |

five days after my birthday - !!
if this doesn't have 'Maximum Movie Mode' I'll tear my hair out! (or is 'Extraction Mode' another name for it?) |
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
Just pre-ordered it.

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
That's a pretty underwhelming set of extras - I assume this will get a re-release next summer?
|
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
If you look at most WB new releases, they all seem to have lackluster extras. TDK is loaded, so I assumed Inception would be. But it seems like most of their titles definitely are a little skimpy in the special features department.

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
Looking forward to picking this up. Pre-ordered it as well.

Heard the Blu-ray has - an interactive Extraction Mode "in-movie" viewing option - the Dreams: Cinema of the Subconscious featurette - the Inception: The Cobol Job animated prequel short - an interactive 5.1 Inception Soundtrack option with composer Hans Zimmer - a gallery of conceptual and promotional artwork - trailers and TV spots - and the Project Somnacin: Confidential Files BD-Live option. I think when you pair those up with the featurettes from the DVD, which are also included on top of those extras, it seems substantially heftier. |
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
If Future Shop gets the steelbook packaging that has been rumored for this, then day one purchase for me.

I don't go to the movies, ever. The movies come to me. Also, I bit torrented Avatar, and didn't think it merited a purchase....very meh. |
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
no offense..but that's just not cool. Bit torrenting a film. :(
|
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
Funny thing is those two films are probably the two this year that most demand being seen on a big screen.

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
FWIW, Columbia House has this up for pre-order at $21.57. I think that I'll grab it there the next time they have a BOGO code.

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
I'm pretty sure it's against forum rules to tell people you pirated a movie...isn't it?
|
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
It's generally frowned upon, but I think the rules just state no discussion on HOW to pirate movies. Then again, I haven't read the rules in ages.

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
I don't need some fancy set. Regular BD for me will do nicely.

Inception I just flat-out missed because I don't go to the theaters that much other than kids' movies. I will get it on Blu tho. |

Good luck with that....CH hasn't had a BOGO for BDs in more than a year and a half now...at this point it really doesn't look like they will offer one again....

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
Hmm, well, the Blu-Ray rear cover was posted at DVDActive, and indeed, the packaging does NOT list the features from the DVD. Confusing. Perhaps they're in the PiP track; but then why does the UK Collector's Edition I ordered come with 3 discs (indicating one is "a disc of special features") when the US only has the Blu and the DVD/Digital Copy?

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
WBshop is now selling the briefcase for $50. They say there are less than 2,000 for the US market.
|
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
Link? I'm not seeing it.

Right now it's being offered to WB Insider members only (though this will change unless supplies run out). If it doesn't show up, check to see whether you're logged in or not. |

Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
I wonder what's with WB doing black-and-white disc artwork now.
Regardless of whether I'll get the briefcase or the standard edition, I'm definitely looking forward to a third go-around with Inception.:up: |
Re: Inception- December 7th, 2010
how much is the UK case? I forgot. I pre ordered it already but...I don't remember the US converted price...
