re: Star Wars

I think George Lucas needs a hobby. Maybe he could take up scuba diving or stamp collecting and leave Star Wars alone.

Also has Lucas' stance on the changes to the OT been that he made them because the technology of the time limited the things he could do? He couldn't have Jame Earl Jones utter "no" or have Harrison Ford duck in 1983 and 1977?

re: Star Wars

Just heard the new Vader and Obi Wan lines.

I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.

Absolutely terrible.

I can't wait to get home and watch the clip of the blinking Wicket. The still picture makes it look weird, almost creepy like.

re: Star Wars

LOL - I swear this proves Lucas is as petty as everyone thinks he is.

The "NOOOOO!" from ROTS gets laughed at, so he decides to add it into ROTJ as a big middle finger to those who hated it. Classic.

Personally I didn't dislike it in ROTS, but it sucks in ROTJ. It's like we're being hit over the head with the "rhyming" of scenes as he put it once I believe.

Obi-Wan's new kraayt dragon sounds like a frat boy got a hold of an auto tune machine or something. Whoooo! Just awful...

re: Star Wars

Now let's wait for someone to actually defend that dogshit we've just had the displeasure of listening to.

It makes for great comedy, that Vader-NOOOOO and the dragon yell, but literally nothing else beyond that, and it's not even good comedy either.

I think I would've actually preferred that Lucas had inserted this instead...

It was BS the first time he said it, and it's still BS today.

Actually I like the first more quiet no. The 2nd one though, yeah not necessary.

To quote Arrested Development:

"I don't know why, but that's it."

I'm out. If this is real footage...I'm done. And over it.

I think the first utterance is worse than the second. Sounds out of place and completely forced. I don't want either one. I'm more offended by this than by any other of the changes made up to this point.

re: Star Wars

Wow, this is all pretty weak; how does R2D2 get through the small gap with the new rocks? That is so like Lucas to add something without considering the story.

Apparently all of the audio is legit according to Devin Faraci.

re: Star Wars

I can only imagine the crap he is going to add when these things come out in 3D. Maybe a close up of Jar Jar's ass when he farts?

re: Star Wars

So ... the images on blu-ray.com are fakes? Or is that youtube clip a composite of the new audio with video from the 2004 edition? R2 isn't behind big stupid CGI rocks in the video clip ...

Edit:

Nevermind -- I see in the details of the clip that the video is from the DVD.
