^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

As a lifelong SW fan, alot of this stuff (documentaries) have been done a zillion times, and it is almost like, "Been there...done that!" I mean do we really need to see the 'Making of Star Wars in 1977' again? They'll say that Lucas was admitted to a hospital midway through shooting, and the production was a disaster, and he only thought it would make 50 million dollars.....

The only thing I'm interested in is the deleted scenes for the OT movies, so hopefully someone will put them up on internet (cause I only watch deleted scenes once for all my DVD's). And the doc on ESB looks interesting too.

I only like the OT movies, so for me its not worth it to buy all the crappy PT movies just to get a few OT deleted scenes which I'm sure will be on the internet sometime after the release.

It looks like the commentaries are all recycled from the the previous DVD disks too.

I'll pass......

6.1 DTS sound - woohoo!! Didn't think Lucas would have relented to something other than Dolby.

re: Star Wars

So it appears that the DVD bonus features from the prequels may not have been retained, though the description of Disc Seven is vague enough that I suppose they could be. I hope so, because "The Making of a Minute" from Revenge of the Sith is one of the most informative and comprehensive making-of features I've ever seen. Also conspicuously absent is Empire of Dreams, though I suppose it, too, may be lumped into the ambiguous description of Disc Eight. I wasn't expected From "Star Wars" to "Jedi" to be present, but I confess that as I made my way to the bottom of this list and saw some of the vintage pieces being included, I got excited hoping to find it on the list.

Star Wars Tech was fairly entertaining (though I think the one on Batman was better). That'll be nice to have in the library. I'm afraid that "Star Wars Spoofs" will amount to little more than a glorified commercial for Laugh It Up, Fuzzball: The Family Guy Trilogy ("currently available on Blu-ray from FOX wherever home videos are sold!"). I'm neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by this description of content. Just kinda...whelmed.

Did the countdown clock for anyone else just kind of, die?

It hit 0, it went to reload, and nothing happened. Tried again and I got redirected to Fox Movies. LOL.

I won't be rushing out to pick that up, boring, PQ and AQ better be perfect or no sale

Same here... They should have known the amount of traffic that this would generate. Fail.

When you share this site with your friends, exclusive imagery from the release will be revealed. And the more the site is shared around the world, the more the world will see.
Do it.

Pretty basic description. It seems all the goods everyone wants are on disc 7 and 8. It would have been nice to give us a more detailed run down on the material on those discs.

Nice to finally see the tv specials included, I have been watching the vhs for years now.

First commentary track seems to be the same, I wonder if the second track is newly created from old audio or the one from the 1992 laserdiscs?

I can't believe that everyone is so high on this doc. I guess I've seen it so much that I'm bored with it. I had the original VHS release, plus the copy that came with the very first widescreen VHS boxed set. I was dying for those other docs to be re-released... Oh well, a matter of perspective I guess :)

even in 1080i Cinemax's airing of the eps 4-6 in their OAR's looked great.

I hate that the big new doc is about the 501st. I love that they do what they do (charity and all), but I'm bored to death with their "story". It's cool to see them at conventions, but they are set dressing IMO. The armor is fan made and impressive, but fan made props and costumes are boring to me.

I hope the Star Wars spoofs doc doesn't have any fan films.
Star Warriors: bless those guys, but I wish something else could have been included instead.

Maybe it's apart of the "Spoofs" package lol.

But they should have atleast found the elements to the Boba Fett cartoon and remastered it for HD. Nothing to be ashamed of their.

I don't know why I keep getting myself excited for SW announcements. To not even include the previous sets extras are a joke...

I'm... whelmed. Neither over- nor under-, it's just there. It wasn't on my buy list before and it still isn't.

I mean, that looks like a lot, but I'm not sure it is. And I'm still not sure if I'd rather have all the old DVD features duplicated so I can sell my DVDs, or if I want all new stuff (or at least, new to optical media stuff like the old documentaries. And where the heck is From Star Wars to Jedi? )

Maybe if the reviews are really great...

I agree. I gave my DVD sets away to my brother, foolishly thinking most of the extras would carry over.

Dear god I hope we at least get the trailers on here...
