I'm not really against tweaking the movies, but things like that had certain charm to them. The Book of the Dead edition of Evil Dead 2 cleaned a few things up too and I kinda miss them every time I watch it.

Too bad AB didn't use the same cover art as the upcoming UK Blu-ray, which adds a Picture-in-Picture track but apparently drops the 1:33 version.

I don't really get this comment. I mean, I get that it's obviously in reference to re-releases/double-dipping etc. but this is a case where two different studios have rights to the same movie in different territories.
The UK release is from Sony and the US release is from Anchor Bay so it's obviously not a case of one of them trying to screw anyone. It happens all the time.

Actually, I read "and so it begins" referring to "and so it begins that we start collecting multiple versions of Evil Dead on Blu-Ray".

I think I know what AnonymousBob15 means. He's from Auburn, an SEC school, I'm from LSU another SEC school. On our respective Sports message boards, our fans bitch. And they bitch about anything & everything you can possibly bitch about. They make Fran Drescher's Nanny character's whining look amatuerish.
My guess is "And so it begins" is marking a spot where people will bitch about the artwork & why studios don't "Simply use the original film poster", which leads to "Floating Big Heads" topics, along with "My 5 year could have made that cover" comments.
My guess is Bob & I would both agree that Nick Saban is approximately the same height as an Oompah Loopah, despite Bama attempting to make him appear taller, using Tom Cruise's photographer.

Does anyone own the Sony BDP-S300 Blu-ray player and had problems with The Evil Dead BD? It won't load for me. The menu says Can't Play.
I have the latest firmware for it.
Thank you.

I have the BDP-S300. The display never said "can't play" but it displayed "Menu" after playing through the trailers fine. It just sat there not doing anything. So I went to Sony's website, downloaded and burned the latest firmware, followed the instructions and installed on my player, and now no problems.
